A Cozy Stop Just Down the Road in San Clemente.”
After a busy day traveling from Los Angeles, we were looking for a quiet place to unwind while staying nearby in Capistrano. Zebra House in San Clemente, California turned out to be a quaint and relaxing coffeehouse with a nice atmosphere and some healthier menu options.
My daughter and I split the street taco combo (four tacos for $12). They were good enough that we finished every bite, though they weren’t quite the “craving-worthy” kind you rush back for. My grandson ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and thought it was very yummy. It was a little much for him, so I helped finish it. My son had the Buffalo Chick sandwich and said he really enjoyed it, although it looked like there was a bit more bread than filling.
The standout dish was my wife’s Harvest Bowl. She absolutely loved it and said it was a delicious and healthy combination of proteins, vegetables, and cheese. She gave it two thumbs up.
For five of us, including my grandson, the total came to about $75 with tip, and we didn’t order any drinks. So plan on about $15 per person with tip, even without beverages.
Overall, Zebra House is a peaceful, charming place to relax with some healthy menu choices, and we’d happily stop in again.

This coffee shop was clean and decorated so beautifully! The ambiance is spectacular! The customer service was amazing! I didn’t get the name of the lady behind the counter but she was super nice! I told her it was my first time there and she made me feel welcomed and pointed out everything on the menu! I went with a vanilla latte and a cranberry orange muffin. The vanilla latte wasn’t my cup of tea but the muffin was really good! If I lived in the area I would come back to try their breakfast menu and other coffee offerings. I just wasn’t a fan of the latte.

Adorable place. Plenty of space to set up and remote work both inside and out. Delicious food & drink choices. Also has a drive thru. Only about 10 designated spaces for the shop, but there's other parking a step further away.

I had such a great experience at Zebra House Coffee and Eatery! I ordered the Kalua pork bowl, and it was the perfect balance of healthy, flavorful, and filling. Every bite felt satisfying without being too heavy, and it’s definitely a dish I’d come back for. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
One of the coolest features of this place is their drive-through, which is super convenient if you’re on the go. On top of that, I got a morning muffin for signing up for their text program, and let me tell you—it was incredible. I’m not usually a muffin person, but this one was so delicious it might just convert me! It was moist, flavorful, and the perfect little treat.
Overall, Zebra House Coffee and Eatery offers great food, a welcoming vibe, and some thoughtful extras that make the experience stand out. I’m looking forward to coming back again soon!

Very cute little place just off the freeway. There’s a self ordering kiosk which is super easy to use. I ordered a latte and it was good. The only thing I didn’t like was getting a to go cup when I asked “for here” cup
