Wanted to love this cute place, but this had to be an off day. Two entrees, both of us only ate a few bites. I had huevos rancheros. The salsa tasted stale … or bad… like it had been sitting in an open can for days. Entire dish was off. And I love huevos 😒. Even the Diet Coke was off. Service was good. Parking good. Place was clean. So a few wins.
We love Woody's. Great food, good service, football on the TVs. They have a great little kids menu if you have the children. Our oldest son got The Big Cruiser burger which is a huge burger. It was as big as his head!
Woody's Diner features a 50's surf theme, an all-American menu, and a nostalgic atmosphere that has kept customers coming back since opening. Woody's always aims 2 please and exceeds expectations by far. They will even make triple or more malts...Epic! Location in OldTowne Orange🍊 is special: - Outstanding Customer Service - Clean Sanitized Fresh environment - Food is diverse & high quality - Family Friendly - again Cuisine is Delicious & Healthy - Wonderful Value - New patio with many seating options with lots of shade & umbrellas or heaters that provide great views of Old Towne 🍊 Orange - Sports Bar area is extremely relaxing Defly a GoodVibes/GoodTimes Diner! This little diner sits off the main Chapman Ave drag very close to Old Towne Orange. The vibe is good and the food is great… So why the 3 stars… Easy, service and fees. 1 Star reduced based on very slow service with no real enthusiasm or desire for great customer service. Diners are known for their delicious greasy spoon, red-eye eats served with amazing old school classic diner pleasantries. This location, unfortunately failed there. The second reduction came from the underhanded “ 3% surcharge “ put in VERY FINE print on the 4th… YES, fourth page of the menu… Stating they charge this on the entire check “ to help offset increased labor cost due to new local, state and federal ordinances as well as delivery surcharges from vendors”. Thank God for CA Senate Bill 478.. This will STOP these shady practices from being “hidden” or a surprise to most people in CA. With that being said. Waiting 5 min for a spoon to stir your coffee. Another 6 min before you can eat, because you didn’t get silverware to eat with. Says a lot about a locations service. The food.. GREAT! loved it… But the service and FEES killed the vibe and experience. Not a return visit anytime soon for this restaurant.
Service was good, food was even better. Alot of seating. Looked bigger inside. This was our first time. They have a bar area. The wife and I will definitely come back. I hear the pastrami is good.
