Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Came here for the first time during the week for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is so spacious, warm and inviting! Our server was super sweet and our drinks and food came out super quick. I highly recommend their simple breakfast and iced rose latte. Would definitely come back and try them out for lunch!
This was my first visit to fable for dinner I've eaten at toast which has been very good and now I tried the dinner and it to was very good service was very attentive and drinks were very tasty. I got the sun dried chicken sandwich and my wife got steak sandwich they were both outstanding. The happy hour price are reasonable and the portion are very good size.
The restaurant looked nice, and we only waited a few minutes to be seated—not a big deal. The problems started when the food arrived. The staff shouted out dish names and slammed the plates down while asking who ordered what. Not exactly a warm experience. As for the food? It was just okay. Everything lacked flavor, the ingredients tasted cheap, and the presentation was sloppy. It felt like no one cared about the quality, the appearance, or the overall dining experience. This was my first time here, and unfortunately, nothing stood out—in a good way. Not the food, not the service, not the vibe. Wouldn’t recommend.
Checked out Toast Kitchen & Bar in Brea—great food, disappointing service. The good: the food was really solid and priced well. Definitely the kind of place I’d come back to for the flavors alone. The not-so-good: service was seriously lacking. My espresso came in a regular coffee cup (minor, but odd). They completely messed up my order—salad was supposed to come with my entrée, plus an extra side. Instead, the side showed up with the entrée, and the salad came way later, totally out of sync. Not once did anyone refill our water or ask if we wanted more drinks. After we finished eating, we sat there for 30 minutes with zero follow-up. Eventually someone came by—not to check in, but to ask if we wanted the check. It’s frustrating when the kitchen delivers but the service doesn’t. There’s a lot to like here, but if they don’t tighten up the front-of-house experience, it’s hard to fully enjoy the visit.
What a great place for a networking group. Delicious food, big bar area, and plenty of seating. Located on a the corner so if you miss the entrance drive up,just go to 2nd driveway and go around.
