Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
My girls surprised me with a lovely birthday brunch at Toast, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and our server was incredibly attentive. I ordered The Perfect Avocado, which lived up to its name, it was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of bacon. I paired it with a Strawberry Cucumber Basil Gimlet, and it was simply perfect. The girls enjoyed the Brunch Burger with a side of arugula salad and a Classic Chocolate Pancake. One of them tried the Flying Unicorn Tea Lemonade, and the presentation was adorable! Great food, reasonable pricing, and a wonderful atmosphere, I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday brunch. I’d definitely come back!
I recently visited Toast Kitchen & Bar in Brea, and it was a great experience! I ordered the Classic Hamburger with added cheese and bacon, and it did not disappoint. The patty was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the bacon added the perfect crunch. The flavors all came together beautifully, making it a solid choice for a satisfying meal. My friends tried the Eggs Benedict and the Denver Omelet, and they both really enjoyed their dishes. The Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs with a rich hollandaise sauce, and the Denver Omelet was packed with ham, bell peppers, and cheese, making it a flavorful and hearty option. The service was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you’re looking for a good brunch spot in Brea, Toast Kitchen & Bar is definitely worth checking out!
Stopped in for my post workout meal. Ordered The Perfect Avocado and a Bloody Mary. Atmosphere was clean & organized. Service was excellent. Multiple servers checked on me at the bar area. Most importantly, the food was amazing with my adult vitamin drink. Toast restaurant never fails me
Hate to say but this is a great atmosphere location but the food is lacking. Came for brunch. Ordered a good amount of food with 2 minor asks. The orders got messed up and those 2 asks went to the wrong food. The waiter fixed it but I dislike the food coming out at drastically different times. Maple Bacon waffle didn't taste very maple-ly. Regular waffle had no real flavor. Both 4.6/10. The potatoes had no flavor 2.8/10. The eggs were scrambled hard by default but also no flavor 4.9/10. The upside was the amount given. Bacon was dry but the best tasting at 5.4/10. The unicorn drink was not worth the hype or price. It's color changing non sweetened powder. It was mildly flavored water but not sweetened 1.3/10. Overall food 4.2/10. Location and atmosphere 7.4/10 (it does get loud with more ppl) and staff was 8.2/10.
Possibly the most disgusting steak I've had in my life. The chimichuri steak was extremely salty and tough, nearly impossible to cut through and chew, and for $40, was money wasted. The scrambled eggs were overdone and poorly seasoned. The bloody Mary was fancy, but having discovered and reported a fly in my drink, the server took it back and was immediately brought back having only removed the fly and not remaking the drink (it took fifteen minutes to get it the first time, less than one minute to get it back). The servers had no clue who ordered what and failed to attend the table with timely refills of drinks despite not being busy in the restaurant. Food took thirty minutes to come out and everything was cold. For a Mexican-style brunch restaurant, I had high hopes but will definitely never return for a nearly total fail all around. $100 for the most disgusting brunch, not including the tip, left a poor impression for our table. Management should definitely be ashamed.
