Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Located perched dramatically atop a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is the quintessential Southern California luxury resort experience. From the moment you arrive, the breathtaking panoramic views of Salt Creek Beach and endless ocean horizons set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The property itself feels like a luxurious coastal sanctuary — manicured grounds, elegant public spaces, and modern guest rooms that emphasize comfort and style. Many rooms and suites offer sweeping ocean views and furnished balconies, inviting guests to soak in California’s legendary sunsets right from their private space. The interior design strikes a balance between refined and relaxed, although some reviewers note that certain areas could benefit from a contemporary refresh. Service is where the Ritz-Carlton brand really shines. Staff members at check-in and around the property are generally warm, professional, and attentive, often going the extra mile to make special occasions — like birthdays or anniversaries — feel truly memorable. Dining options on-site span several restaurants and bars, with Raya being a standout thanks to creative Pan-Latin cuisine and spectacular ocean views. For beach lovers, the resort’s location is hard to beat. A complimentary tram takes guests down the bluff to Salt Creek Beach, where surfing, sunbathing, and coastal walks await. The property also boasts multiple outdoor pools, a well-equipped fitness center, and a full-service spa for those looking to unwind in style. That said, this level of luxury comes at a premium, and some guests feel the price doesn’t always perfectly align with every aspect of the experience — particularly in peak season when crowds and beach traffic can be heavy. Overall, The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel delivers a quintessential California coastal escape with world-class service, stunning scenery, and the comfort expected of a top tier luxury resort — a perfect choice for couples, families, and anyone seeking a memorable oceanside getaway.
The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is one of the most beautiful oceanfront resorts in Southern California. Perched on a bluff above the Pacific, the views alone are worth the visit. Whether you’re walking the grounds, sitting on the patio, or enjoying a meal overlooking the water, the scenery is absolutely incredible, especially at sunset. The property itself is elegant and well maintained, with classic Ritz-Carlton service throughout. The staff are attentive, professional, and make guests feel welcome the moment they arrive. The outdoor areas are a highlight, with multiple terraces where you can relax and watch the waves roll in below. Another great feature is the easy access to Salt Creek Beach just below the resort. A scenic walking path leads down the bluff to one of the best beaches in the area. Between the ocean views, the service, and the peaceful atmosphere, the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel is a fantastic place for a weekend getaway, special occasion, or simply a relaxing coastal escape.
Stayed here 5 nights for an ocean-front getaway in October. Loved the location, clifftop with amazing ocean views, BUT there were so few places to enjoy the view unless you were eating at the restaurant or at the bar outside. I thought that was the biggest drawback. There was no seating on the lawn along the cliff or places inside the hotel to enjoy that view unless you paid for an ocean front room. The entire lower level looking out to the ocean was conference and meeting rooms - wasted space when there's no conference going on and guests can't use them. Lovely pool area, but service there was very slow. Had a great experience with the adventure center staff though, we did a kayak tour and enjoyed the naturalist talk at happy hour, those were great. I did morning yoga a couple days out on the lawn looking over the ocean, that was really nice! Many of the valet and naturalist staff were younger locals that grew up in the community and knew the area really well, which was really nice. Had a few really good meals at Raya and an amazing dinner at Kahani. The pool menu was not very inspired. Overall, a good getaway, but you could do so much more with that incredible location.
We stayed at Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel- Dana Point recently to celebrate my wife's birthday. As expected with Ritz Carlton, the service, professionalism, and friendliness of the entire staff was phenomenal, but this team exceeded expectations. Our room with the balcony overlooking the Pacific had incredible views. We greatly enjoyed our walks down to the ocean each day and the beautiful surroundings. The dining throughout was great, and we ate at Raya on for her birthday evening. We also got some fabulous sunset photos that made the evening even more special. Lastly, we really enjoyed the club. The team working there and the other guests were great and Jenny, who was one of the managers, felt like an old friend by the time we departed. We had a truly memorable stay.
My family and I visited RC Laguna Niguel this past January to celebrate our two boys' birthdays, and the staff made the trip feel truly special from start to finish. I had notified the front desk in advance about the occasion, and they made our boys feel celebrated throughout the stay. They left delicious treats in our room (even accommodating my husband's allergies), wished them happy birthday at every meal, and left a thoughtful note. Special shout-outs to Amanda, one of the managers in the Club Lounge, who even prepared special food for my boys (tip: if you ever need kid-friendly food, they can make it for you!) and to Lee, a security guard who went out of his way to show my husband around the property and surprised the kids with cute apparel. Highlights of our trip also included a delicious meal at Raya, beautiful ocean views, comfortable beds, easy beach access, and just a relaxed atmosphere for our staycation. We will definitely be back!
