Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Being a caveman for this long and finally we decided to try this outdoor dinning experience at the Recess Room. We can reserve ahead of time using yelp and we got the 5 pm reservations. We ordered the Thai curly fries, taco appetizer, duck gumbo and chicken pot pie with bone marrow for the main dish. The tacos are very tasty, the dipping sauce got a kick to the flavors but I love it!! The chicken pot pie with bone marrow is seriously our favorite!! The pot pie is very flaky and very well combined flavors dipping in the beef potato soup. However, the duck gumbo tasted just like chicken and lack of flavors. Overall the cocktails are very presentable and the flavors more on a sweet side.
Food and drinks were very good. We were happy to dine here. The waitor was super attentive and nice. This has become one of our favorite places.
Great place for food and drinks. They have a big whiskey selection if you are into whiskeys. If you come with a large group, you should order the pig head; it's crispy goodness. It's huge and we shared it with 8 people, among other dishes. The bone marrow mac and cheese was probably my favorite here.
The drinks & food were delicious! There was whiskey tasting so we got that free buzz boost. I would've gave a 4 star rating for our party receiving our dinners late--mine was last--BUT they comped some drinks and hooked it up for our birthday girl (woman!) with a dessert tray so that made it worth it.
Not as tasty as the photos depict. I went with a few friends and we ordered a significant number of meals from the menu, including the boar head. Of all the items we are, the Mac and cheese was good and the bacon burger. There was one salad that was good, but all of the other dishes were not super tasty. I'm unlikely to return, but it was worth trying.
