One of the most beautiful golf courses I have spectated at. The combination between mountains, greenery, bridges and water streams makes the course very calming and walkable. Rabbits and butterflies added to the beauty of the place. The weather was pleasant mid Aug. it’s a 9 holes course. I don’t golf but was spectating. When I learn how to golf I would definitely come again to play a round.

The Ranch at Laguna Beach’s 9-hole course is easily one of Orange County’s best-kept secrets. From the incredible staff to the breathtaking views at every single hole, the experience here is unmatched. It’s an incredibly fun course to play with friends. I highly recommend it!

We found a worm in our food and these dopes offered us a free desert - great job managment. Service was dismal and lacked high standards - very similar to a Chili’s but on a golf course. Food was mid and was served lukewarm, and with worms, bartenders seemed cool, scenery was nice.
Dont expect a high end experience if you choose to go here.

The Ranch at Laguna Beach Golf Course is one of the most uniquely positioned golf venues in Southern California — a par-70 executive layout set entirely within a dramatic canyon that runs down to the Laguna Beach coastline. The setting is breathtaking: steep canyon walls covered in native California vegetation, Aliso Creek winding through the course, and the kind of intimate scale that makes every hole feel like a personal encounter with the landscape.
As a real estate broker who works extensively in South Laguna and the surrounding hillside communities, I've played this course many times with clients exploring the area. It's a perfect venue for a casual but memorable round — short enough that even casual golfers finish in a reasonable time, but challenging enough with its canyon shots and tricky lies that lower handicappers stay engaged. The pace of play is generally excellent.
The integration with The Ranch resort above makes this a convenient stop for guests staying there, and the pro shop and practice facilities are well maintained. What truly makes it special is the sheer improbability of having a real golf course tucked into a coastal Laguna Beach canyon — it's one of those only-in-California moments. Strongly recommended for anyone visiting South Laguna or considering property in the area.
