Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
As mentioned by other reviewers and noticeable in the menu, this place is insanely overpriced. I can’t believe I paid $33 plus tax for a hamburger. The bill for two people with tip was over $90. In fact this makes it the most expensive place in the area short of exclusive fine dining. Your paying are Payne nice fine dining prices for diner level food, good diner food with sizable portions, but still way way overpriced. Someone are you that the location makes it worth it. I have to challenge that because just down the street at the Mediterranean place and even the very hip Laguna Hotel the prices for food in a more elegant environment has actually lower, nicer, and with a equal or better view. What makes Greeter’s worth it, nothing but it is pure American nostalgia right on the boardwalk - prime prime location and uniquely American culture history. You decide if it’s worth it I won’t go back, but I’m glad I did go! The Laguna burger had two thick juicy meat patties, and the combination of ingredients made it actually very good. The fish tacos were above average, but nothing to brag about. Portion size was great. The staff was attentive by pushing on the upselling and cross selling. If you haven’t been checking it out, the decor is old under restored but cool.
This restaurant is as close to the boardwalk in Laguna Beach as you can get. On the patio you get a view of the beach and can see the people sitting on the sand. It’s nice and you get some shade with the umbrellas. The fish tacos is the dish to get although I’ve heard the fish and chips is pretty good too. Be careful of what you order since some menu items are overpriced (hamburger for $30 and hotdog as fries for $17). The desserts look amazing and I will definitely try the next time I there. Service is great though with the wait staff passing very often.
Been living in Aliso since 2001 and come to Laguna often, but this was my first time trying Greeter’s Corner, and it was phenomenal! My wife and I rode our bikes to the beach today and stopped in for the avocado burger and the fish and chips. Both were mind-blowing. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist/flaky on the inside. Even the fries and cocktail sauce were delicious. I also had a Virgin Bloody Mary which was a great addition. It’s on the pricier side, but you’re paying for that incredible Laguna Beach view. Well worth it. Service was friendly and on point. I have no idea why this place only has three stars, they’ve definitely earned my business again!
I eat here whenever I’m in Laguna Beach. It’s the best!!! Their Eggs Benedict with Avacado is the best I have ever had. I get it every time. Too bad I live in Utah. The view is perfect from the beachside patio.
Oh hell naw $93.72 A great spot close to the beach what could be wrong, right? A bacon burger, fries, a chicken Caesar salad, margarita and root beer. $93.72 let that sink in. No handmade patty, really average like $4 buck average and the patty was of the frozen variety. The fat fries were good but the margarita was Meh! Add Spotty service like a 3G old iPhone in the hills. Oh hell no $93.72 price gouged Not worth it. Sorry just so so below average
