We booked this hotel months ago for a family vacation. I was so excited to get here. The pictures made it look very upscale and fancy. It is neither of those things. It's an old building that has been slightly remodeled. Our tv remotes only worked when they wanted to. We were put on the second floor, and one of my biggest pet peeves is being able to hear the people above you walking around. It was so bad. It sounded like a Riverdance competition. I don't even know what the reason was that those people were walking around so much. It went well past midnight. We barely got any sleep. Tha balconies are not private at all. The view of the ocean is beautiful. There is a train that goes by often. I'm sad to say that we won't be returning.
we had the two queen bed room which was nice had two separate TVs and one person had a whole room to themselves. We had a nice view of the ocean but the sliding glass door was hard to move back-and-forth the hotel is dated but the furnishings were good the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was basically packaged items, but also cereal and hot waffles, And fresh fruit. Getting to the room from the front desk is a bit of a maze. The hot tub was not warm, so we did not use it. You also have to navigate stairs and a bridge to get to the beach across the street. Although I’m sure you could drive there also and pay to park. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.
Great customer service, the front desk staff were very friendly, very welcoming and helpful. The location is on Highway Coastal 1 in Dana Point across the street from the beach BUT no direct access due to the train tracks, noisy as well. The room layout king suite made no sense, the bedroom not near the patio, I booked it to hear the ocean and instead heard the cooling system, loud throughout the night. Rooms were clean but dated, need a good paint job. Bed ok kinda too soft. Amenities- hot tub is a weird shape but very relaxing, clean, decks . Breakfast awful, processed cereal and danishes in a package. On a budget stay here, solid 2 star motel, clean
} Dear Beachfront Inn & Suites at Dana Point Team, I am writing to inform you that I will be submitting a formal review regarding my recent stay. I wanted to first provide you with direct feedback so management is aware of the issues experienced upon arrival and during the stay. I arrived at approximately 3:30 PM on the day of check-in. As advertised, the stated check-in time is 3:00 PM, yet I was informed that my room was not ready. I calmly asked if there was an estimated timeframe, noting that I had a confirmed reservation and had traveled several hours to reach the property. The response I received from the front desk was that they had “no idea” when the room would be ready, delivered in a dismissive and smug tone. I reiterated that even a rough estimate would be helpful so we could plan accordingly. I was then told that I could leave and they would call me when the room was ready. At this point, we were already over an hour past the scheduled check-in time. When I respectfully pointed out that check-in time had already passed, the staff member responded that she was “not going to argue” with me and stated that the hotel could refuse service altogether. This was completely uncalled for, especially given that I was polite throughout the interaction and simply asking for basic information. This experience was particularly disappointing as the stay was meant to celebrate a special occasion, and we had already endured several hours of travel prior to arrival. In addition to the check-in experience, I would like to note the following concerns: • The hot tub was not functioning • The room had an overwhelming chemical odor, as if it had been heavily drenched in cleaning solution • The nearby train noise was extremely loud • Direct street access was blocked, making entry and exit inconvenient I believe this feedback is important, as professionalism, communication, and guest experience should be priorities—especially when delays occur. What an INCREDIBLE experience!!! I can’t say enough about the Beachfront Inn… they went above and beyond… Carlos, Dj and Frank were top notch in all aspects. They all have huge futures in this business. The cleaning staff were all on point and as friendly as can be. I will not stay anywhere else besides the Beachfront Inn because of this staff. Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Do yourself a favor, don’t change a thing about this place…
