Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Small, quaint Thai restaurant. Because the restaurant is small, they have limited seating. I was able to get a table quickly because it was after the dinner rush hour. Service was quick, and friendly. They have a good selection of traditional Thai dishes. Prices are high, probably because of location. I ordered Penang Curry with chicken. I requested additional vegetables, and was accommodated with a small up charge. The price for the dish was 20,00 and with the upcharge came to 23.00 It was served on a plate as opposed to a bowl, which I'm used to at most Thai restaurants. It was nicely presented, and came with jasmine rice, however, I could tell right away, it didn't have enough curry sauce for my liking. I ended up asking for more sauce because there just wasn't enough. It was also on the thin side. One way they can improve the dish is by serving it in a nice size bowl, and giving more sauce. I also think the the sauce could be a tad thicker. Making these adjustments would make the dish much better. Their sauce is very good, though the dish needs double or more of the curry sauce than it currently comes with. I also ordered desert, an inexpensive pudding. 3.00 and it was delicious. With tax and tip, my bill was just over 34.00 Street or lot parking can be difficult during busy times.
Definitely a hidden gem!. Tried their fiery bamboo hands down the best thai curry ever tried in LA.🙌🏽🙌🏽 Even the mango sticky rice and spring rolls are a must try.
The papaya salad was amazing. Yummmm! I got spice level 5 and it transported me back to Thailand. Also got yellow curry which was delicate and comforting. Thai basil fried rice was unique in flavor in the best of ways. I would eat here often if I lived here.
Server was really nice! Thanks. The food.. soup portion - is good for one in our case. The house salad was ok but the dressing which tasted like a lime was really good. The dressing had a kick to it which was not over powering. I am really particular when it comes to peanut dressing but this spot has good peanut dressing/sauce that at least I am able to tolerate.
Did they physically move from around the corner? Doesn't really matter. Food is still fresh and tasty. However it could be more 'Thai' peppery 🔥 hot! Service is excellent. If the menu seems to rely too much on chicken as a protein, don't despair, they will easily accommodate any other choice of protein. They seemed to have a very lively take-away business on the Monday night we were there.
