Tango in Laguna Beach seriously impressed me with both the presentation and flavors of every dish. Such a beautiful tapas spot for sharing plates, cocktails, and relaxing with friends near the beach.
We started with the Pulpo (octopus ceviche) and WOW… this dish was so fresh and flavorful. The octopus was tender and perfectly marinated with citrus, herbs, and spices. It had a refreshing kick and paired perfectly with the crispy chips on the side. Such a light but delicious appetizer!
The Argentine Red Shrimp was probably one of my favorite dishes of the night. The shrimp were huge, juicy, and cooked perfectly in a rich white wine lemon butter sauce with garlic and onions. The toasted bread soaked up all the buttery sauce SO well. Honestly every bite tasted luxurious.
We also tried the Albondigas lamb meatballs, and they were super comforting and flavorful. The tomato sofrito sauce was rich and hearty, and the mint yogurt on top added the perfect creamy balance. Definitely a must-order if you love savory dishes.
Another standout was the Short Rib Two Ways . The braised beef was incredibly tender, and the seared slices on top were packed with smoky flavor. The presentation was gorgeous and every bite melted in your mouth.
The cocktails were equally amazing too. We tried the “Two To Tango” with lavender and butterfly pea flower, and it was not only pretty but also refreshing and floral. Perfect drink for a girls night or date night in Laguna Beach.
Everything about Tango felt elevated but still warm and welcoming. Beautiful ambiance, creative dishes, amazing cocktails, and attentive service. Definitely one of my favorite dining experiences in Laguna Beach lately!

I came here awhile ago when they first opened and never got a chance to eat only drinks. Fast forward year or so later i was walking by tonight and I wanted a drink. Kitchen was still open mind you its 10:20pm on a sunday in Laguna...IYKYK. I was hungry and ordered the paella 🥘 . Insanely good. Im shocked because you cant get something like that nearby or casually anywhere in orange county. I own a restaurant and enjoy eating out. Paella was a homerun and both drinks i had were perfect. Only reason im writing the review is for the food really good

My friend and I walked past on our way to get gelato and we saw Tommy the jazz guitarist out front and the pink lights under the bar, so we made a point to let them know we’d be back!! Wow what a lovely vibe, the drinks, food, music and company were perfect. We came in on a quiet night and we stayed so long we helped them shut down🤭 will definitely make this a regular go -to when I’m back!

We had the best time at Tango in Laguna Beach! There was live music playing, and we were seated upstairs in the cutest little nook with a beautiful view—it set the perfect vibe. The decor is charmingly Spanish with a fun, eclectic twist. We ordered the chicken skewers, steak skewers, and shrimp camarones all perfectly cooked and buttery delicious. Even the bread was amazing! My Mai Tai was outstanding, and Evan was the sweetest server who made our third date night here extra special. Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to!

Service dazzles, Thia’s warmth and genuine charm set the tone, while Evan adds effortless polish. From the kitchen, Oliver, master chef, delivers transcendence: the short rib defines the evening, and the cheesecake seals it with a final, unforgettable note. Highly recommended.
