An upscale, island-themed lounge in Capo Beach, Sunsets is located across from Doheny Beach State Park.
Sunsets offers patrons the ability to enjoy tropical drinks, exotic appetizers and spectacular ocean views in a casual atmosphere. With our unique interior design and innovative and exciting menus, Sunsets is anything but your typical bar.
At the main bar guests can interact with the bartender as they prepare award-winning cocktails, watch a game on one of 10 HDTVs or listen to the live music being played by one of Sunsets’ resident bands or DJs. In the open patio area, take in the beautiful ocean view while enjoying a cocktail, appetizer or entree.

Great bar. Food is decent. Atmosphere and employees are fantastic. I judge a place on their flexibility with my dog and they didn’t give me any hassles about her. Cheap and good drinks. Dog friendly. Fun staff.
Love this place in Dana point! It’s best to visit after 4 PM then you can sit out in the patio and watch the sun setting over the water. It’s a bit noisy out there, but you can do a lot of cars/people watching and you can take your dog. If you’re camping at the state beach, you can almost walk here or it’s a quick two minute drive. It’s pretty busy on the weekend, but this is plenty of seating inside and outside.
Sunsets Bar is a great spot to unwind and enjoy the evening. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a vibe that’s perfect for hanging out with friends or just enjoying a drink after a long day. The drinks are well-made, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the overall energy of the place makes you want to stay awhile. Whether you’re there for the views, the music, or the cocktails, Sunsets Bar delivers a solid experience.
Would recommend. Came here after a long work day to relax. It was a Thursday, vibes were good. Not too crowded. Drinks were great! I got the Passionfruit Sour and Blood Orange Margarita. The bartender, Josh, was very kind.
