An upscale, island-themed lounge in Capo Beach, Sunsets is located across from Doheny Beach State Park.
Sunsets offers patrons the ability to enjoy tropical drinks, exotic appetizers and spectacular ocean views in a casual atmosphere. With our unique interior design and innovative and exciting menus, Sunsets is anything but your typical bar.
At the main bar guests can interact with the bartender as they prepare award-winning cocktails, watch a game on one of 10 HDTVs or listen to the live music being played by one of Sunsets’ resident bands or DJs. In the open patio area, take in the beautiful ocean view while enjoying a cocktail, appetizer or entree.
I don’t normally give out 5 stars so this should mean a lot. What a great spot, first time in San Clemente and this place delivered on every aspect. Delicious and super fresh food, presentation was great and good portions. Service was flawless and the atmosphere was very relaxing and calm. They don’t need to decorate much with the gorgeous beach front view so they really nailed in my opinion, highly recommend.
Was in town for some meetings and was recommended this establishment for its food. Ordered as normal. Food was surprisingly good. When we received the bill I noticed the added charge for Avocado and wontons. My colleague wasn’t asked, nor requested and doesn’t like avocado but it was put on the bill. The waitress also added wontons, which weren’t requested AND upon review of the menu was $1.00. When I raised both issues with the waitress, she said my colleague requested the things AND the $1.00 price was recently changed. The part I couldn’t believe was that she didn’t offer to change either one. Sometimes the place off the normal path isn’t worth the stop especially when the restaurant staff insists on padding the bill. So disappointing.
Love this place in Dana point! It’s best to visit after 4 PM then you can sit out in the patio and watch the sun setting over the water. It’s a bit noisy out there, but you can do a lot of cars/people watching and you can take your dog. If you’re camping at the state beach, you can almost walk here or it’s a quick two minute drive. It’s pretty busy on the weekend, but this is plenty of seating inside and outside.
I went expecting very little cause ots by the beach Yada Yada. The food was very good and the drinks ok. The atmosphere and staff were great and everyone was having fun. I look forward to going back and trying a few drinks to find the "one". I do recommend you check it out,enjoy the view, and good company.
Sunsets is the kind of place you go for good food, cold drinks, and an unbeatable laid back vibe. The views are a big bonus, and the whole atmosphere just feels easy and fun. Service is friendly, portions are solid, and it’s a great spot to kick back and enjoy the moment.
