Splashes was the perfect spot for an unforgettable dinner. Between the sounds of the waves, incredible food, and attentive service, the whole evening felt special. We started with the octopus, which was cooked perfectly, and the Coastal Canvas was just as impressive - fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. For the main course, the rack of lamb and filet were both exceptional and easily some of the best we’ve had. A big shoutout to our server, Patrick, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel effortless from start to finish. We had a wonderful experience at Splashes Restaurant! The view was absolutely perfect, making our meal even more memorable. Our server, Patrick, provided outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout the evening.
The food and drinks were delicious, and everything was reasonably priced for the quality and location. To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture.
Highly recommend Splashes for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and an unforgettable waterfront dining experience. Thank you, Patrick, for helping make our anniversary so special!

What a fantastic experience! The food was outstanding, the views were incredible, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. The oysters were some of the freshest I’ve had, and the octopus was cooked perfectly. Everything our table ordered was excellent. Pro tip: make a reservation and arrive a little early. Before being seated, check downstairs at the bar area. The atmosphere is more lively, the seating is great, and those tables can’t be reserved.

If you’re visiting Laguna Beach and haven’t been to Splashes Restaurant at the Surf & Sand Hotel, you’re missing out on one of the area’s hidden gems. A lot of people assume you have to be staying at the hotel to eat there, but that’s not the case at all. We simply walked in, spent a few minutes enjoying the incredible ocean views from the lobby, and then headed down for breakfast around 7:10.
To our surprise, we practically had the place to ourselves. The setting is unbeatable—waves crashing just outside the windows and a perfect panoramic view of the Pacific.
The food was every bit as impressive as the scenery. I had the blueberry pancakes with Meyer lemon syrup, and they were absolutely amazing. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and thoughtfully prepared.
Between the spectacular oceanfront location and the outstanding food, this instantly jumped to the top of my list of favorite breakfast spots in Laguna Beach. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area. Don’t assume it’s only for hotel guests—walk in, enjoy the view, and have one of the best breakfasts in town. 🌊🥞☕️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We recently celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday here, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. The service was exceptional, and our server Carson was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal. They made sure we had everything we needed, checked in regularly without being intrusive, and helped make the celebration feel special. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. It’s clear that customer service is a priority here, and it truly made a difference.
