Another excellent experience here! Awesome service by the new receptionist and also by Dr. Sofia Rodriguez. Prices are competitive, since the first time we came in, I would even say (at least for us) that prices are a bit lower than others. But the quality is far superior. We have been to other dentists before, but once we found this place, we stayed. We also have recommended this place to some of our friends. And so far, they have had a great experience here also. ——————————————————————— Dr. Sofia is an amazing dentist! My son and my daughter got braces from here. The dentist had a summer special that we couldn't pass on. Dr. Sofia and her staff have always been friendly. We have been coming here for the past three years or so. No issues ever. From the get-go, the Doctor was always upfront with the cost, the timeline, and the procedures. No complaints from me or my family. My kids actually hated going to the dentist, same as I, jajaja. But here it's a bit different. We still don't like going to a dentist, but we don't mind coming to this dentist. Place is clean and well organized. Parking is small, but it is never crowded, only a few shops around. Dr. Sofia will explain everything to you, she is very patient, and knowledgeable. It's a very good place overall!! We have recommended this place to some of our friends, and so far, they are all happy with their experience here!
Went here August 8th , for a filing left side of my mouth. It's been hurting since. They should had done a root canal. They were really half fast and non professional about there service. It's November 30th 2025 I've been in and out of ERs with this pain too afraid to go back to a dentist because of this place. Please don't go here or BEWARE! They didn't numb me enough, they were really rough, & the cap feels like it's not fitted right in my Mouth. My lower face is swollen like the elephant man . This cap in my mouth feels half way on .
First off, I can't say enough good things about how awesome Dr. Rodriguez is and her staff. Everyone is absolutely wonderful. My story begins with me eating corn chips and biting down too hard on an unexpectedly hard fried kernal of corn chips. The sharp pain was instantaneous. What came next was weeks of scheduling to see other local dentists that had emergency services available. Now, I don't know if you're like me but I'm on Medical and have CalOptima as my provider, anytime you see a dentist for an emergency appointment, even once they submit the request to the insurance for the procedure there's a 2-5 week window for the insurance to process the request. Now, in my situation I was dealing with a broken tooth and was in need of a root canal. 🤪😲 Long story short, it took me awhile to find Dr. Rodriguez, but once I did I knew the search was over. Her office is super easy to get to there in Lake Forest and once you do parking is also a breeze. Her office observed all current PPD Pandemic precautions. All staff are wearing proper PPD attire, temperature is checked by Pearl at the desk as you enter. Now what I really liked and gave me piece of mind was that each patient is seen in an individual room, with a chair, and wide screen TV with wonderful soft, calming music. The rooms have doors and you are completely separate from any other patients. It is really nice. I can attest to the fact that in some cases I personally experienced other dentists offices that were NO WHERE near this level of care when it comes to our current health situation and the Pandemic. Unfortunately, that is the case with CalOptima as we know many people can't afford top tier dentistry and it's difficult to find an office that will deliver that quality of service. Well, I'm here to say that Dr. Rodriguez's office delivers superior customer service as well as just plain straight caring. It did not feel like I went to have a root canal, no it felt like I went to a trusted family member who took time, effort, and care. TLC dare I say. 😊 I have heard a number of horror stories from friends who have experienced a root canal and they have had seriously painful procedures. But I can honestly say that not only did Dr. Rodriguez make sure that I was in no physical pain, she also took the time to talk and make sure that I was ok emotionally. That is to say she made sure I was relaxed and not having any anxieties about what was going to occur. She also was very kind to speak with me during the root canal to let me know at what point of the procedure she was at and how much longer I could expect to be in the chair. Seriously, I didn't think that I would ever find a Dentist of this caliber. I recommended Dr Rodriguez to my mom who is extremely particular about her dentist as she went to her last one over 25 years!! 😲 So a good Dentist is like family to us. 🤓 I was able to optimize my options and chose a beautiful zarconium crown which was cast by a 3rd party outside laboratory with exceptional quality. The Dr.and her staff successful put it in and I can report that I have had no other issues with my tooth since. No pain, the root canal procedure was painless, the fitting was easy, everything went smoothly and perfectly. So, to Dr Rodriguez and staff I say a HUGE hearty Thank You for making my first and hopefully only root canal a very easy and painless one. I am actually looking forward to my next appointment, which is a huge change in my usual feelings towards dentist appointments!! 🤓👍🙏♥️💕💓💯
South Ocean Dental is the best dentist the provide very professional and personal experience, they also do a great job with my cleanings. I feel cared for at this dentist and makes sure everything is well explained to me. Doctor Rodriguez makes the office feel like home, and always making sure I feel comfortable during my visit.
I have been desperately trying to find a caring dentist for years. And I have had night mare experiences each time. With non of them caring about me as a human being at all. I came across this dental office and felt like I found a diamond in the rough! A dentist who truly cares ! Dr.Rodriguez is the most caring and genuine person . The staff is just as amazing. They go out of there way to make sure you are comfortable. I highly recommend this dental office . I feel beyond grateful to have found them ! Thank you everyone at ocean dental for being so kind.
