Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
We actually had a reservation around the corner, we saw Sonny’s and thought it looked better so we just had drinks and an appetizer at our first spot (which was great, just not quite what we ended up being in the mood for). We got cozy seats at the mezzanine bar and got the Hawaiian pizza and some drinks. The pizza was delicious, the staff was friendly and in a great mood. There were couples & families, everyone was chill. It was a great surprise find, and I’m happy to know it’s toddler friendly next time we go out with our kiddo. It’s not just basic pizza, it’s got a nostalgic ambiance and fancy cocktails + elevated takes on the classic pizzeria. A new favorite for sure!
This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants on this planet. Anytime I am within one hour of this place, I will make the drive. That isnt an exaturation, I do it. My favorite dish is the short rib tortellini in the Marsalla cream sauce. It is absolutely delicious. However, my favorite part about this place are the cannolies. The ricotta cheese sauce inside is hands down one of the greatest things I have ever had, literally anywhere on the planet. They think im crazy but I order one with a large glass of milk and I always order a second one to-go. The combo of short rib tortellini and cannoli is to die for. 😋. I live 6 hours away, but every time im nearby I would never miss the opportunity to come to Sonny's
Sonny’s is legendary! I went WAY out of my way today for the BEST eggplant parmesan on the planet. Beyond tasty and be sure to get a side of garlic bread and marinara for dipping. SCRUMPTIOUS!!! I have been eating there for decades! Everyone I have sent just love it!!! The lunch portion is plenty and well priced!!
When you think of a thin crust pizza you think slightly crispy not flimsy. There was so much grease on the pizza that that’s all you can taste, taking away from any seasoning it had in the sauce. When I picked up a slice the toppings and everything hit the plate. I ended up having to use a knife and fork to try it. The staff was amazing and kind that’s the only reason I didn’t give it one Star. Later as we are leaving we see a customer with the same pizza and it looked great. So they are capable of doing it right the just need to work on consistency. They weren’t even busy.
Good overall. The wait for a table was long but understandable because we were a party of six at peak time. The Linguine spicy calamari had a good texture. The sauce wasn’t anything special. It wasn’t super spicy. The pizza is thin crust and pretty crispy. The garlic bread was good. Nobody had major complaints about what they got.
