After looking at the reviews and their website, we decided to have lunch here. We ordered the Sol Agave Para Dos. It was very good. Everything on it. The only complaint I have is that their website says it's $82. Then, we noticed the menu in the restaurant says $86. Then when the check came, it rang up $92? I brought this up to the waitress and she did give us the $86 menu price and stated they needed to update the menu. Sounds like the menu and website needs updating. Overall, it was good food, and I would recommend it, but it does seem very pricey.
Sol Agave in San Clemente is an upscale Mexican restaurant with fresh, flavorful dishes, standout margaritas, and a lively yet comfortable coastal atmosphere that works well for date nights or special occasions.Portions are generous and beautifully presented, and the complimentary chips with salsa and bean dip make a great start to the meal. Prices are on the higher side but mostly feel reasonable for the quality, though some appetizers can seem a bit expensive Occasional slow service and a few dishes that could use bolder seasoning keep it at a strong four stars rather than a perfect five, but it remains a spot worth recommending and revisiting. also paid attention on your bill. A really nice find. The service here is top-notch, and the food is very good. I had the 4-taco plate; the flavors were great, with the carnitas being the only one that was a bit dry. Still, a great experience and I would definitely come back.
I love Sol Agave ! First of all the best waiter- Carlos!! My favorite dish - Chicken Tortilla Soup!!! So hearty, healthy, delicious and with ingredients that take me back to the motherland.... The house margaritas is sublime! We had Mezcal shots , smokey and warmed my insides. Great place, great food!
My wife and I had Valentines dinner at this Sol Agave and We absolutely loved the food,staff,and drinks! Alex the owner was so nice and attentive, he gave my wife and I a free complementary tequila shot. 10 out of 10 food was very delicious I recommend this place for great food and service.
