Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
This is my favorite shabu place in OC. It's a little out of the way for me, but I am willing to make the trip. The flavor of the broth is on point, the presentation of the proteins and veggies is nice, and the appetizers...the apps! Such a good selection where other shabu places fall short. On top of that, service is really attentive and you can tell they do their best.
Never had shabu before but will definitely come back here. Every bite of meat was full of flavor and edible with no bad fatty bits. The broth was delicious and the tempura was mmm mmm good. The waitresses were also very helpful with explaining the best way to cook on our first time. Nothing beats a delicious after taste of good food.
Slice shabu is a very simple and chic place to go sit down and have good conversation with your bestie or partner. The menu is simple and it's a great way to add some fun to your lunch or dinner because you get to cook your own food and have great conversations while doing it. I love the Ginger dressing that was on my salad. It started off with that and only got better with the thinly slice meats and fresh veggies. I had the 4oz chicken and was pleasantly surprise it was more than enough especially with the veggies so I left feeling very full but no guilt because it's healthy! Enjoy
Had a good experience here. Not exactly expensive, not cheap. Atmosphere was layed back, not too crowded and it sits in the middle of down town Fullerton. We each had different meats and broth bases. Veggies and broth are unlimited and noodles/meat you pay for extra. One of my meats was the ribeye , one was the 1885 prime rib and were good as well as the noodles. Everyone has a personal electric burner at their table. Although not smokey like a Korean BBQ we did walk out smelling a bit like what we cooked. Over all we liked it though and will be back. Full bar available as well.
Great place for food and drinks. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious. If you have never gone to a Shabu place don’t feel overwhelmed. The staff will walk you through the whole process.
