One of my favorite hotpots restaurant as the food is good and price is affordable. I recommend order the spicy miso for the base. Also recommend you try volcano chicken if you can tolerate spicy foods! For meat, I think I usually order number 1,2, and 5 but I think it doesn't really matter since the meats are usually very thin. Recommend you put Jalapeno on your dipping sauce as the spiciness can really bring up the flavor. Also highly recommend putting all types of mushrooms if you love crunchy foods like me. And add some onions and a few scoops of your dipping sauce into the soup to make it more flavorful. Also don't forget to add the seafood in early to get the flavor as well. Strongly recommend it if you are looking for shabu shabu/hotpot restaurants! And remember to reserve or jump on Yelp's waitlist before you come as the wait can be very long.
Shabuya in Fountain Valley Promenade offers decent shabu-shabu with plenty of vegetables and all-you-can-eat meat, which is a nice option. However, the service wasn’t great, including the receptionist, who didn’t seem very welcoming. The food was good, but the experience could’ve been better with more attentive service.
Love this place and have been coming here for years. The food is always good and the servers are always friendly. They let you yelp check in if you are within a 5 mile radius, which is suggested as Shabuya is usually crowded. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because, what the heck happened to the raw eggs??? Even though this review comes after the price of eggs have gone up..........Shabuya got rid of their raw eggs way before this. So even though I would drive from an hour out of the area to eat at Shabuya, i don't eat here as often anymore based on them not having raw eggs. So now I only come here when it's convenient.
Nice hot pot with nice price They have different types of meat and vegetables. Suggest to reserve on weekend.
Took the parents once and Jenny was awesome and super amazing making the experience amazing. Great food and great quality of meat. Great choice of soup : miso, original, There's a great selection and quality. Torro, Prime flat iron. And back again, I took the sis family and Jenny is always amazing, she made them enjoy the hot pot experience and wanting to come back again. Thanks Jenny!!
