I had the pleasure of coming back and experiencing the great sushi that Samurai Sushi offers. My sushi came out great looking like it was fillet straight from the boat. Service was great with Pedro taking such great care of us making sure drinks were filled plates were cleared and just checking everything was okay. The specials they were offering made this visit one to remember and come back very soon. P.S. photos are from the second round, we couldn’t wait to dive in when the first round came out 😝 also the chef hooked us with fresh Toro tuna.

The Best Weeknight Value in Mission Viejo & My New Favorite Roll
We've been coming to Samurai Sushi for years, and while it wasn't always my absolute first choice for high-end sushi, it has recently become our regular staple. Between the convenience of being the closest spot to our house and finding a new "go-to" menu item, it's hard to beat for a local family dinner.
The "5-Star" Discovery: The Baja Roll
I usually rate the general quality here around a 4/5, but I recently asked the server for his recommendation, and he pointed me toward the Baja Roll. That roll is a game-changer--a total 5/5. It's officially my new favorite, and having a specific "crave-able" roll has made me want to visit much more often.
Perfect for the Weekly Family Routine
If you have kids who happen to request sushi once a week, this is the most logical spot in Mission Viejo. Their combination meal allows you to choose three items and includes miso soup and a salad. It's the perfect way to feed the family without a massive bill.
We try to stick to Monday through Thursday for the Buy One, Get One 1/2 Off deal. It's a huge draw for locals, so the restaurant is usually packed and lively on weeknights. The staff here is excellent; they are incredibly welcoming and get to know your face quickly, which adds a nice neighborhood feel to every visit.
The Verdict: The only reason I'm knocking off one star is that the dining area is a bit dated. I'd love to see the space get a little more "TLC" with some updates and a deeper cleaning.
However, if you are looking for a budget-friendly, local weeknight choice that is fast and friendly, Samurai Sushi is a winner. Just do yourself a favor and order the Baja Roll!

This place came highly recommended by many of our friends, and we finally got a chance to try it out. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive, and the ambiance felt cozy and family-oriented.
The sushi was great overall, with plenty of options to choose from. They have an impressive selection of baked rolls, which I really enjoyed. The Special #1 was good, though my expectations were a bit higher. The Viking Roll was flavorful, but I would’ve preferred the lemon to be a little less overpowering. The Awesome Roll was absolute perfection 👌 and the Baked Scallop Roll was amazing too 👌
Definitely a place we’d come back to 🙏 great vibe, great service, and delicious sushi! 🍣

I haven’t been to Samurai Sushi for a long time. Today, I came with my family because my cousin from Switzerland wanted sushi. She ordered the Dragon Roll and she loved it. She was like a little kid tasting ice cream for the first time. She was dancing in her seat because she was enjoying it so much. She told the owner that it is the best sushi she’s ever tasted. I tried the Super Salmon Roll. It was so yummy. The salmon on top was baked perfectly, flaky and natural. My mom had her favorite, the Mexican Roll which has crab and cucumber inside and spicy tuna and avocado on the outside. We were so very satisfied with our meals and will definitely come back.
They have Happy Hour all day Monday through Thursday.
The restaurant is lively and fun. The owner greets everyone as they walk in and makes us feel welcome.

It is very good. The servers and waiter are very kind to customers. The food is AWESOME! I personally prefer the plain California roll.
