Food is good here, location is very clean. Not a whole lot of parking, and getting to location can be a bit of a pain. Staff were great, no complaints, slight difficulty talking to cashier, but was favorite part of location. Food prepared immediately, like done in less than 3 minutes. Only had a burrito, mild salsa was good. Definitely going to come back here eventually. Didn't see if had restrooms. In all, good food at an expected price.

Ordered Torta al pastor, stuffed jalapenos, and had a good selection of Modelo. Torta came with a bomb green sauce and served well with the side of stuffed jalapenos. While the jalapenos were lacking a bit in the aesthetic department, they still had a good taste Fast service, and the place gave off a homely, authentic feeling

Perhaps to better describe its excellent carne deshebrada to Orange County, "Roman's Mexican Restaurant and Taqueria" has followed Chipotle in naming it "beef barbacoa," even though barbacoa in Spanish translates to barbecue and, in Mexico, barbacoa traditionally refers to pit-roasted meats. I am 100% sure the owner of Roman's is aware that carne deshebrada, aka Mexican-style shredded beef, is not barbacoa. Carne deshebrada is culinarily closer to being the Mexican equivalent to the Caribbean-style marinated, slow-cooked beef referred to as "ropa vieja." Roman's "Carne Deshebrada Taco" aka "Barbacoa Taco," consists of two thin white corn tortillas filled with braised beef, dressed with fresh chopped onions and cilantro. Roman's juicy carne deshebrada, due to lengthy stewing in chilies and spices, really doesn't require any additional sauce. Nonetheless, I added the salsa bar's thick salsa roja during my visit, and the smoldering combination induced delirium. This is not barbacoa, it's not even just carne deshebrada, it's heaven in a tortilla.

I lived in Costa Mesa for most of my life. This place has one of the best Torta Cubanas I've had in OC. Mixed with their fresh avocado salsa verde! PERFRCTO! (It is spicy for people who cant take spice. Lol) I also enjoy their tacos al pastor, chimichangas with shredded beef, enchiladas and their BIG chicken quesadillas! their cheeseburgers are made very tasty as well. It is a bit pricier but there portions are big and it is worth it!
