Challenging course, but not well groomed. Carts are brand new as of 2026, but I would call this experience - unique. Building is outdated, pro shop, parking lot but has just this rustic feel. If they did a light remodel, and cleaned up some greens wouldn’t mind paying more. Pace is decent, but everyone is just having a good time. Challenging holes across water, hills and narrow sections. Unless you’re a pro, bring some extra balls.

River View Golf Course is surely not the best course I've ever played in, but definitely one of the most interesting designed and challenging courses. Basically the entire course was built on top of bank of the Santa Ana River, your game starts to get the fun from Hole 4&5. Hole 4 392 yards Par 4, need to lay up at around 200 yards first, and your 2nd shot is to approach the green which is around 3-story height, and followed by Hole 5, a 546 yards Par 5, and your 3rd shot is to approach the green which is around 3-story height. While the fairways of both Hole 4&5 are along the riverside, Hole 7 a 375 yards Par 4 is for you to drive the ball across the river, and ANOTHER 3-story height green for you to approach. Same as Hole 12, 470 yards Par 4, drive the ball across the river, with 2nd shot around 200+ yards, and ANOTHER 3-story height green for you to approach. The rest of your game pretty much you repeat the same routines, and drive the cart across the river every 2-3 holes. Overall, the course condition may not be enjoyable, but the fact that you're playing golf along the river, at least it's my first ever experience.

This place is a pit, for real. It's great for beginners, very short course. It's pretty easy for a better golfer. 285 Par 4? Driver, eagle putt/chip, birdie. If you are just starting out, it's great. If you're not breaking 100 on harder courses this course will make you feel better about your game. If you shoot mid 80s or better then don't bother. Not challenging at all.

As a beginner golfer, I can't speak much about the course layout or how challenging the holes are, but I can definitely comment on the driving range. It's become one of my favorite places to practice. The driving range is affordable and the value gets even better when you purchase a range card. If you plan on practicing regularly, the savings add up quickly and make it one of the most budget friendly places to work on your golf swing. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and it's a great place for golfers of all skill levels especially beginners looking for a comfortable place to learn and improve. If you're looking for an affordable driving range , then this place is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Narrow fairways and quite challenging course layout. Greens are fast. This course surely is not for beginners. Play pace isn’t bad even during the weekend morning, and the price is quite good(for both green fees and foods) One of the biggest issues is some holes are too close to the other hole and balls are coming very dangerously from the other holes.
