If my friends from New York are to be believed, this is the "best Italian food outside of New York City." And when we eat here, we cannot disagree. Everything on the menu both covers a wide palette (fancy way of saying "everyone will find their favourite dishes") and chef and crew make them wonderfully delicious. Bartender is a delightfully knowledgable and will fix a drink for any desire (people love their tiramisu martinis, but their espresso martinis are better, in my opinion). Their wine list is a secret winner though, especially if you work with Vince to select the perfect wine for your food, mood, and evening. All of this, with a backdrop of fun and familial Italian restaurant, where everyone is family the moment they arrive and you feel loved well after you've left. A gem in San Clemente, and not to be missed.
This is a gem! The food is incredible, but the staff and Italian family-style vibe is what brings me back down time and time again. We love Maddie, Adriano, Vince, and all the rest of the famiglia. Thank you for always treating us like royalty when we come. Get yourself to Pronto….pronto!!
Absolutely excellent! Service, food and ambiance were wonderful. Prices very reasonable. 100% would go again.
We have good friends that love Pronto. We ate outside on the patio and the servers and the atmosphere were amazing. We loved the drinks and the olives / salad we had as an appetizer. I got the Bucatini all'Amatriciana and it was not the best. The Guanciale was good, but usually it is a bright flavor bomb, but the sauce was oily and separated and not ideal. No one took their leftovers home, so I don't think i was the only one less than impressed. The noodles were perfect, so it might have been an off night or a new cook. We will try again sometime, but not eager to head back. I wish I was hungry enough for a meat dish.
It was our first time here, they were able to accommodate us even though they were booked for the night. Service was fast, and the food was delicious. The pizza dough was light, crispy in the outside and soft & chewy on the inside. All in all everything was great!
