Love this place. Really great food and service. Patio atmosphere was very enjoyable with fountain sounds and music. Our server, Juan Carlos, was super friendly and very helpful with recommendations. We loved eggplant parmezan, fungi pizza (incredible), and grilled octopus (one of the best ones i ever had). We will be back!!!

Piatti is an absolute standout, and I honestly wish I could give them six out of five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This restaurant delivers an experience that goes far beyond a typical Italian meal, and it deserves every bit of praise. From the moment you walk in, it feels like a place you immediately want to recommend to everyone you know. The space itself is incredibly charming. The design is thoughtful, warm, and aesthetically beautiful without feeling overdone. Every detail, from the lighting to the décor, creates an atmosphere that is both inviting and memorable. It’s the kind of restaurant where you instantly feel comfortable, yet still excited to be there. Happy hour at Piatti is another huge win. The pricing is fantastic, especially considering the quality of the food. The fries were exceptional—perfectly crisp and full of flavor. The pizza, though, completely stole the show. It’s genuinely the best I’ve had in California, and I’ve found myself thinking about it long after the meal ended. The service deserves its own praise. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without being intrusive. Every interaction felt genuine, and it was clear that the team takes pride in creating a great experience. Combined with the prime location, the overall vibe makes the restaurant even more of a standout. Piatti is truly a must-visit. Whether you’re stopping by for happy hour or settling in for a full dinner, it delivers on every front. I can’t wait to return, and I’ll be recommending it to anyone looking for great food, great service, and a beautifully designed space that feels special from start to finish.

If you are looking for an amazing date night or even a great family dinner, Piatti Laguna Beach is a must. We went on a Monday night and had no problem finding parking right in front of the restaurant, which already felt like a win in Laguna. From start to finish, everything was done right. Donnie, the general manager, was extremely extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu and helping us choose our dishes. His recommendations were spot on and made the entire experience even better. Everyone there, from the moment we walked in, was so friendly and welcoming. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. The restaurant itself is very well kept, warm, and inviting. The ambiance is perfect. It truly feels like pure Italian family vibes. We started with the octopus and it was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. It came with puréed mushrooms and thick sliced mushrooms that complemented the dish beautifully. Easily one of the best octopus dishes I have had. We shared a bottle of wine and also ordered an espresso martini and an Old Fashioned. And yes, they serve Old Fashioneds with the proper large ice cube for anyone who appreciates a well made cocktail. Attention to detail matters. For food, we shared the spicy pizza and the portion was very generous. It is large enough to be your own meal or perfect for sharing and still feeling satisfied. They are known for their Bolognese pasta for a reason. It is made with over a dozen ingredients and takes overnight to prepare. You can taste the care and depth in every bite. Rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. We also ordered the Linguini del Mare, which was cooked to perfection. The sauce was phenomenal, and they brought out fresh bread on the side so you could dip straight into it. Do not skip that. Finish with dessert. You have to try their gelatos and fresh baked cookies. Authentic homemade pasta, an excellent wine selection, great cocktails, incredible service, and an atmosphere that works just as well for date night as it does for a family dinner. Highly recommend. It is absolutely worth it.

Okay let me preface with I use to love it here. My friend and I would come sit at the bar, chat, order martinis and a meal. Over time the quality went way down. We came here tonight and they really fell short. First, I ordered a glass of wine and my girl friend ordered a martini. They bring us a glass of Olive juice (in a wine glass) and a dirty white wine (in a martini glass). It was just a little silly. Then we ordered the Florentine steak and it was the smallest steak I’ve ever seen. A porterhouse. Pictures attached. Also it was supposed to come with mashed potatoes and it was literally a scoop. A single potato at most! The steak also was super well done on one side and rare on the other. We mentioned this to the server as well and he said that he agreed, that a “florentine” as it is listed on the menu should be 4 fingers thick and theirs is only 2 and it should be aged for a couple months which theirs is not. For a $100 steak we expected a bit more. Just a super disappointing meal.

Great location just steps away from the beach and main st. The place is nice both inside and outside, with outdoor dining covered by big umbrellas and a nice fountain. Good knowledgeable server. We did the lunch special which included a full portion cesar salad and a choice betwen pasta dishes or sandwiches. Very nice selection for lunch. They serve salads, apetizers, pizza , pasta and sandwiches. We had three different kund if pasta. Spaghetti carbonara, rigatoni bolognese and lunguini seafood. All three large portions and very well prepared. Fir apetizer ee did try the Octopus with mushroom very good as well.
