This is a small Chinese restaurant with a warm and cozy atmosphere in the heart of downtown, right across from the main beach.
The food was very delicious and fresh.
The portion size of each dish was huge.
Our server was a young, polite, and friendly gentleman, but unfortunately I forgot to ask his name!!
If you enjoy Chinese food, this is a great option.

Quality food, quick service, and quirky atmosphere - and all at a great price!
After a walk on the beach with our three kids, we stopped in at Peony Chinese Kitchen and we were not disappointed. The service was great, the food was delicious and came very quickly, and the price was just right! We also enjoyed the courtyard outdoor seating that was shared by the near by Mexican restaurant and the açaí shop! There were fun Chinese lanterns hanging and other classic Chinese decor. (A bit kitsch, but I enjoyed it)
We ordered the Chow Mein with veggies and the General Tao’s Chicken which comes with broccoli and rice. This was just the right amount of food for my husband and I and three young kids to share. Peony’s was a perfect quiet spot with a warm meal for those beach evenings on the chillier side!

Peony Chinese Kitchen was a great experience! The vegetable chow mein was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I really appreciated that they were happy to substitute rice noodles instead, which made the dish even better for my preference.
The waitress was very friendly and attentive, making the whole meal feel welcoming and comfortable. Excellent service and tasty food — I’ll definitely be coming back!

After a week full of Mexican and Italian food, I was really craving something Asian and that’s how I ended up at Peony’s. It definitely did not disappoint. I highly recommend the Sichuan Wonton and the Tom Yum Soup, both were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and impressively quick, and the place itself was very clean and well-maintained.

Fantastic food, great service and a really welcoming atmosphere. Cannot fault Peony Chinese Kitchen enough and encourage anyone visiting to seek this place out. I had the Orange chicken which was perfectly prepared and a generous serving.
