Fantastic venue for business events. Fabulous staff and facilities. Meals were on point as was transportation and planning. Even with rain forcing venue change things were handled seamlessly. All attendees were very pleased. Housing is top notch as well. Oh, and the golf courses are even better than the view.
So beautiful! We played a round here and really enjoyed the scenery layout of the course - most of the holes have ocean views at the North Course, along with beautiful mansions on the hillside. Course conditions are perfect. Very hilly and the greens are fast!
Pelican Hill Golf Club is hands down one of the most beautiful golf courses I’ve ever played. The entire experience was incredible from start to finish. The course is in perfect condition and the ocean views throughout the round are absolutely breathtaking. Every hole feels scenic and unique, and you can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining the course. The staff was welcoming and the overall atmosphere makes it feel like a truly premium golf experience. Between the layout, the views, and the quality of the course, this was easily the best golf experience I’ve had. If you enjoy golf and amazing scenery, Pelican Hill is a must-play.
This place is golfing heaven! I played both courses, and definitely prefer the north. If you’re coming from out of town and it’s a special, one-off trip, it’s absolutely worth getting a caddy. Bob was my caddy and he was AMAZING! Bob read every green perfectly and had fantastic insight and strategy. I would never have shot 85 without him. Thank you, Bob!!
Pelican Hill Golf Club We were genuinely looking forward to playing Pelican Hill given its reputation and setting. Unfortunately, the experience did not match expectations. When we arrived, we were informed that the front nine was closed. This was never communicated to us in advance. For a destination course at this price point, that lack of transparency is disappointing. We replayed the available nine holes to complete 18, but there was no accommodation or adjustment in pricing despite the inconvenience. On top of that, several tee boxes on the back nine were closed for construction, which forced us to play from the forward tees. Again, this was not disclosed beforehand. When you book a premium course, you expect to play it as intended, not a modified version without notice. The pro shop staff were also not very welcoming and came across as dismissive. At a high end facility, professionalism and hospitality should match the setting. The course views are beautiful, but between the lack of communication, construction limitations, and the overall service experience, the day fell well short of expectations.
