They weren’t open when they said they’d be open. I planned to pick up baked goods to celebrate my employee’s birthday today, but I had to show up to work empty-handed. Last night, I searched bakeries that opened at 7am. I arrived at 7:05am because I had to be at work by 7:30am. The front door was closed but unlocked. Apparently, they were testing a new computer system. The lady behind the counter told me that they actually opened at 8am today and that’s why the front door was closed. How should I have known? Maybe it was closed because it’s cold in the morning? If you didn’t want anyone to enter, at minimum, put a sign in the front window with your revised hours and keep the door locked.

Had the croque madame with potatoes and my friend had the farmers omelette. To be totally honest my croque was just okay. It lacked seasoning and flair. It was very simple but the potatoes were tasty. My friends omelette was good but nothing fanciful. We liked the atmosphere and the pastries were delicious. If you get there at 9 am you will find parking on the street in front of the restaurant. Otherwise you will just have to search the public parking lots for a parking spot.

My intense fervor for bakery is frightening! Was having lunch nearby, of course I had to drop in Pandor Bakery a little after 1pm. There was several other having lunch but plenty of room open. Luckily still have a broad selection from scones, several types of croissants and many others but I already have my eyes on the sliced carrot cake! The price was a bit high, about $10 per slice and I got 2 because my girls also love this cake. I ate one on the spot and OMG it was delicious! One of the best I have had so far. You can taste all the ingredients like walnut, raisin and shredded coconut and the usual spice in carrot cake. Yes I would go back and mostly will for this and maybe try their other bake goods.

I was so pleased to know that they had freshly baked (that day) kouign amanns! The pastry is difficult to find in bakeries so I appreciated the experience. It was larger than I am used to which was a plus, but didn’t have even moisture throughout the layers. Felt dry in some parts and perfectly flaky in others. All in all, the vibes were nice and there was a lot of art. Nice spot!

Pandor is incredible ( November 2024 ) 🎇 Another School Year is here and Pandor has already impressed w/ plethora of new gelato flavors and dozens of new confections! The OMG Bars r very numerous now Thank Heavens! Our office is still gettN 🍦 Gelato 🍨 daily even tho it's kinda cold outside...lol. Yes it's that's GOOD 👍 Tiffany & Raffi Sepetjian are serious foodies who love to travel, particularly to France where they have a family. Their true passion revolved around a dream to open an authentic French boulangerie, similar to the ones they had often enjoyed on the streets of Paris. That vision became a plan eight years ago. They named it Pandor, an abbreviation of the French words "pain d'or," meaning golden bread. Currently with three locations in Newport Beach, Old Towne Orange, and Irvine. They say it's all in the name.  The creation of the name Pandor was based on the symbolism of the core values the company was founded; Living by the Golden Rule.  A unique spelling of a phonetic expression of the French term, “Pain d’ Or “meaning Golden Bread.  The name also captured the charm and dedication to the traditional French Artisan baking processes and standards we use daily in the making of all of our products. Most importantly, we felt that the unique spelling allowed us to better serve the needs of the wonderfully diverse culture of Southern California rather than be exclusive in pronunciation to only those that speak French.  Every aspect of Pandor is designed to create an experience that is unique, inclusive, and unforgettable. Truly Truly Amazing #YUMMY Has more award winning items than can count. Fortunately new cuisine creations every day. Best Old Towne has 2 offer ( IMHO). BsafeBhappyBwell 🤙 Highly Recommend🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
