Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
I can't say enough good things about Opah! My wife and I tried this place out on a whim a few weeks ago and have been back every Sunday since. We have tried different things every time we've been and have not been disappointed yet. Everything is cooked and seasoned perfectly. Their menu is very original with very tasty twists on classic dishes. By far, our favorite dish so far has been the Kung Pao Calamari appetizer. It's got nice tender pieces of fried calamari rings, not chewy at all, mixed with chunks of eggplant as well as shishito peppers, all tossed in a delicious Kung Pao sauce. It's so good that we've gotten it every single time we've been. Jessica has been out server twice and she is literally the best! She is so personable and friendly, and makes sure our drinks are never empty. Joe, the owner, was even bringing us free samples of their brunch menu the first time we went and was very fun and friendly to talk to. We plan on being back as often as we are in the area
Kind servers. Might have been owners checking on us and even serving our food. Vesper martini was on point. Oysters delicious. Scallops and fish and chips were some of the best I've had versus London and East Coast. Chill atmosphere.
Just the best atmosphere, very delicious food, we come here for a treat. The scallops are heavenly, never gritty or overcooked.
Austin our server was wonderful and helped get our kids order in for them to be served promptly. Overall the food was great, I'd give it 4.5 out of 5. We tried a variety of things, and the only miss for us was the sweet potato tower (which was mostly bland). We usually don't eat filet mignon but it was on point and worth ordering again along with the sugarcane tenderloin. The bay scallops were great. Kids got the ice cream, but i stole a bite and the texture was smooth. The dishes trend on the slightly sweeter side, so if you prefer that, then that's great. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would love to come back.
It was Father's Day and we made a last minute decision to go out for dinner. We were lucky enough to snag a reservation for our party of 6 adults. We were greeted by the friendly hostess when we arrived and seated at a nice table out on the patio, the weather was perfect for al fresco dining. We agreed on some appetizers to share, the Kung Pao Calamari and the Ginger Chicken Meatballs as well as a nice bottle of wine. Everything was really good, we then did our entree orders and got the Toasted Garlic Salmon, Maryland Blue Crab Cakes, Filet Mignon and the Reserve Skirt Steak. Everyone agreed the food was especially good, we ended up ordering a second bottle of the Katherine Goldschmidt Cabernet which was very nice. I made a quick restroom stop before leaving and the men's room was clean and well stocked. As we finished taking care of payment at our table, we were greeted by the owner who asked how everything was. I always find this such a nice touch, it shows that the owner really cares about his customer's experience. Needless to say we expressed how much we enjoyed our meals.
