Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Overpriced with Small Portions! Oc & Lau has really lost its touch. Portions have shrunk while prices keep climbing ($18-$20) for tiny dishes. The fried calamari was bland, the snails lacked flavor, and the crispy fried fish wasn’t crispy at all. The pan-fried noodles were a complete disappointment, and the rushed service only made things worse. Honestly, I wish I had gone to Bien Hen instead — much more reasonably priced and with better service.
Super popular Vietnamese seafood offering a plethora of options. Popular choices include razor clams, oysters, snails, lobster and Vietnamese hot pot. It’s a hectic and busy environment and the food comes out fast and furious. Table ware is casual with plastic bins collecting shells and paper cups housing flavored pepper salt and limes. We enjoyed all the flavors and particularly liked the snails and oysters. The crab fried rice was very good and a good non-seafood item was the quail. The lobster isn’t quite the level of Newport Lobster but it’s solid. Prices are reasonable given the high level of competition in this area and we ate well with the lobster being the priciest options. Dining is indoor only and credit cards are accepted. There are no reservations and lines form outside during the popular dinner hours (6-7 PM).
Solid Vietnamese seafood restaurant. It was so popular that we were there a weekend around 9pm still waited half hour to get seated and it was worth it. Service was fast and friendly. The razor calms and the snails were really fresh and full of south East Asian style seasoning. The fried quails were really amazing, they were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. They also offer free desserts, so remember to save a bit room for it.
This is a popular restaurant with the locals Came here for dinner around 7:30pm and it was 1.5hr waiting period. Considering how packed the restaurant was, the food came out 15 minutes after you placed the orders. Furthermore, all the dishes were well-flavored. The hotpot can be an acquired taste if you’re not used to the fermented fish paste. The only knock on this place is that they don’t let you make reservations. Get there before 6pm if you don’t want to wait.
Overrated food in here. Their serve is bad, very rude attitude of the girl who took my order. I order the KING SCALLOPS but they gave me the size of regular one and confirm this is correct. Totally not the same with whatever I watch from Youtube review. Mango salad is bad, its actually the worst salad I have eaten in my life. “Rang Muc” was salty. Will not recommend or come back to this place
