Great view of the ocean from the roof top seating and the food was delicious. Unfortunately the service was subpar and unorganized. The roof top area is overloaded with tables making it uncomfortable with servers and customers bumping into your chair. To top it off we found hair in our rice which they said they would comp but did not. Overall great food poor experience.

Service was good. Restaurant was beautiful. I think the food could be better for what you’re paying. Did not really enjoy the pork chop. The mash potatoes would be a better pair with Ribeye Steak. Recommend larger water cups as well. It is a beautiful restaurant just think they could improve the food for what you are paying for it. Valet was great and provided great recommendations. Beautiful rooftop as well and birds. No complaints on service.

Had a great overall experience at Mozambique in Laguna Beach — the atmosphere and sunset views alone are worth the visit.
We ordered the steak and lobster. The lobster was fresh, but it didn’t come with any oil or butter, which would’ve really elevated the dish. The steak was cooked well, though I felt it could’ve used a bit more seasoning or flavor to stand out.
On the plus side, the samosas were solid, the calamari was excellent (crispy and flavorful), and the lavender spritz was refreshing and well-balanced. Bread pudding tasted great. Big shoutout to our waiter — super professional, attentive, and made the experience smooth and enjoyable.
Overall, beautiful spot with great vibes and good food, just a few small tweaks away from a perfect experience. I’d definitely come back, especially for sunset drinks and appetizers. 🌅🍸

I love this place and have been coming here when they had reggae bands and free admission. George was the manager and he was really nice. I still come here when I have a Monday off. I bought tickets to see The Wailers right off Mozambique's site which then routed me to Ticketnetwork, efficient is usually where I get ALL my tickets for great prices. I also get an extra $30 with my Capital One card. I've bought 7 concert tickets and 2 World Cup tickets!! This is the first time I was told they were no good. Even though they say Iran's House at Mozambique with all the correct info. One ticket was $100 and it said it would be waiting at will call. Thankfully, I always print my tickets out. I had to pay another $25 to get in. I'll be calling them for sure. The manager gave me his card and said he works talk to his IT person. I have to give a shout out to the valets out there who helped me out! I was the one with the cane and black 4-runner. Thank you. I had a very bad day and I was late. I'm never late. And where was Camille (sp)?? I needed your help! Jk. Other than that the show was great! Their food is really good and I think they still have their African Mojitos which are really good. I don't drink so I get them without alcohol. I've brought my friends and family for years. I've been coming to Laguna since I was 14 and it always brings back so many memories. I'm just glad it hasn't become like some of the other horrible beach cities. The people in Laguna are still nice people. Good job Laguna!!

We just wrapped our second year hosting a networking event at Mozambique rooftop, and they continue to exceed expectations.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous with incredible views, and the overall experience feels elevated from the moment you arrive. Parking is easy, valet is seamless and adds to the luxury feel, and the entire process is thoughtfully managed from start to finish.
The events team is fantastic. They are proactive, communicative, and incredibly organized. They provide helpful tools like floor plans, linens, red velvet rope stanchions, and make it easy to execute within your budget without sacrificing quality.
The food is great, and they do an excellent job accommodating allergies and non-drinkers with delicious mocktails and NA wine options, which is something I really appreciate.
A special thank you to Kim Harden, Senior Events Manager, who is responsive, proactive, and truly makes everything feel easy. Our service team: Jose T and Greg were also a dream to work with. They were attentive, fun, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. It felt like they were part of our group, not just the venue team.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to host a polished, memorable event.
