Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Cute little restaurant on the corner of a strip of businesses at the Costa Mesa location. Waited about 10 minutes for a table inside for 3 of us on a Sunday. 2 tables outside which is perfect for people to bring their dogs. I can confirm 2 dogs being at the outside tables:) We had Mogu Chicken Karaage, 2 Deluxe Mazemen, and 1 Curry Mazemen. My daughter didn't really like the Curry Mazemen because she's a fan of everything curry and the curry was so subtle so she was disappointed. My husband and I liked the Deluxe Mazemen, especially after tailoring the dish to our personal tastes with the vinegar and crushed sesame seeds at the table. The Mogu Karaage was delicious! Wish there was room for the Green tea cheesecake but they gave a novelty coin for the Gacha machine to win something and we won 20% off our next visit! I'm excited to try other things on the menu next time!
I love this place! My favorites are the curry mazemen, LA style takoyaki, and mogu chicken. It's perfect to go and always delicious. The price is very reasonable as well. It's in a plaza with other businesses, and the parking lot isn't huge, but I've never had trouble getting a spot. The staff aren't the friendliest when I pick up my order, but it's a short interaction. This is one of my go-to places for easy, delicious takeout.
Never tried this style of ramen. It was surprisingly tasty. Very flavorful. They recommend eating half of you bowl and adding their special vinegar sauce halfway through. They give you a small bowl of rice to finish any sauce remnants. Will be coming back if I'm in the area.
Just wow! Incredible ramen, and I love the different ways to eat it. All three different ways has their own unique flavor profiles, and I simply loved all of them. Be aware the place is small, and you’ll need to go early unless you want a decent wait. Regardless, the food is well worth it.
Not sure if we went at a bad time but this was the worst ramen/mazemen I've ever had. I don't think anything was fresh except for the eggs. The noodles were undercooked and wasn't mixed properly which made it so they were stuck together. Didn't take picture but here was the green onion - looks like it's been left out overnight
