A truly excellent dining experience at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Newport Beach. From start to finish, the food delivered on every level. The red wine selection paired beautifully with the meal, and the bone marrow was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and exactly what you expect from a top-tier steakhouse. The 1 lb baked potato and wild mushrooms were both outstanding sides, generous in portion and full of flavor.
The service at the table was great—our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure everything flowed smoothly throughout the evening.
The only area that could use improvement is the front reception. While everything else felt polished and high-end, the receptionists could be a bit more professional and welcoming to match the overall standard of the restaurant.
Overall, a five-star experience driven by exceptional food and strong service, with just a small opportunity to elevate the first impression.

We decided to have a group dinner celebrating early mother's day mainly because they served halal steaks. To my surprise they had on the menu clearly labeled. A 7oz filled and 12oz boneless rib eye.
I got the rib eye and it was delicious. We also ordered sushi rolls, salads and some sides. The lobster mashed potatoes was not to our expectations.

We came to Mastro's Ocean Club for our 5th Wedding Anniversary, and I would like to say it was the best fine dining we've ever experienced. It was our first time trying Mastro's, and the customer service they provided was top-notch. The ambience was very nice, the food was delicious, and they even went as far as adding our 5th Anniversary to their menu - wow! Thank you to everyone who made our anniversary dinner memorable 😊

Was our first time here for my birthday, I heard a lot about the food and see it on social media so I figured I’d give it a try.
We ordered the bone in filet, I give it a 4/10
Very mid no flavor at all, the crusted chicken tasted like a TV dinner 2/10 and the creamed corn was not sweet at all or the creamed spinach both needed way more sugar.
Lemon drop martini 7/10 drink it fast cause it gets warm really quick
Waiter was nice just a little slow to bring the check when we asked for it..
We might come back to give it another try however for now me and the wife gives it a 2 star

Had a wonderful dining experience at Mastro’s Ocean Club. We were seated outdoors with a beautiful beach view, and watching the sunset during dinner made the whole experience even more special. Every dish we ordered was excellent—nothing missed. The Seafood Tower was fresh and impressive, perfect for sharing. The Shrimp Cocktail was classic and well-executed, and the Asparagus Tempura was light and crispy. The Mini Crab Cakes had a great amount of crab and weren’t overly heavy. The New England Clam Chowder was rich and comforting. The 22oz Bone-in Ribeye was definitely the highlight—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. For sides, we had Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Broccoli, Rosemary Garlic Wild Mushrooms, and Creamed Spinach. All were well-prepared and great for sharing. We ended with their signature Warm Butter Cake, which is a must-order—crispy on the outside, soft and buttery inside. Great food, beautiful ambiance, and excellent overall experience. Perfect spot for a special occasion or a nice night out. Would definitely come back!
