Straight up awesome pizza here at Lunita's. It's almost like a pizza speakeasy inside of a Mexican restaurant. You have to text ahead your order, bring cash for a discount! We got two pizzas, the Margherita and Capistrano. Both pizzas were awesome, but the Capistrano really was the star. The crust is top notch, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I would say this spot is a top 5 pizza joint in OC for sure, it is similar style pizza to Gibroni's. Definitely give this one a try!
I’m a first timer at Lunita’s Pizza and it certainly won’t be the last. Best pizza I’ve ever had! Deep dish has never been a first choice for me but this place made a fan outta me. The topping was the best ever. The tastes come together like destiny. The owner is a great guy, working hard and doing a fantastic job. I will always support small business and this is one to support for sure. I love the neighborhood too. Between a Mexican restaurant (that smells delicious) and a market with beautiful fruit outside the front door. Gotta love small businesses. This place is definately top tier pizza. You’ll love it.
Best pizza I have ever had! The crust was absolutely delicious and had the best crunch, the dough wasn’t doughy at all and was so, so delicious. You can tell they’re using very high quality, fresh ingredients and the flavor profiles he built for these pizzas are so good! The wowie sauce added even more flavor and somehow made a perfect pizza even better! The ordering process may be slightly unconventional but it is EXTREMELY SIMPLE. You’re literally given step by step instructions on how to order and it couldn’t be easier. My Mom picked up our order and couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful her experience was and how much she enjoyed the owner. Super stoked we found this place and absolutely can’t wait to go back!
Had to try it after reading the reviews and it’s as good as others have said, if not better. Had the Christina and the Sexy Roni. Super fresh veggies on the Christina and buried in pepperoni and whipped white cheese and basil on the Sexy Roni. Dough was fresh and crisp yet soft on the inside. Feeds about 3-4 per pizza and all in all, outstanding. I’ll be back for more for sure.
Pop Up Pizza Shop- If you’re a pizza connoisseur and happen to be in SOUTH Orange County, particularly San Juan Capistrano, then there are few places you know, you can really enjoy quality pizza. Lunitas is one them. This is a “take out only” place and the menu is predetermined, no messing around trying to pick and choose how you like it. There’s the menu, you order, simple. But if you like somewhat deep dish, Detroit styled pizza you’ll love this place. It’s a little unconventional when it comes to ordering, you text your order, get confirmation back and you pick up at the time they provide. Pop-Up Pizza Shop- No messing around here just good old fashion pizza in a simple pick-up process. Look them up on Instagram for more details. They have a cult pizza following already.
