Best breakfast burrito around! This place is legit! Don’t be fooled by its meager appearance as a food stand out in front of a Home Depot. I got the OG Burrito with the spicy green salsa. I don’t know how they get the tater tots to stay so crisp in the burrito. The Portuguese sausage and bacon was a great combo. Cheese was melty and creamy. The sauce! The LJ’s sauce was delicious with a slight tang. Spicy green salsa was an added bonus. Portion size was great too. I will definitely be back.
This has got to be one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve tried in OC! I went with their spicy queso burrito and man, it was full of flavor. I got extra meat and shared half between me and my wife. Both of us were really full. The burnt tots were pretty good too, although a little salty. I recommend ordering online as they are very busy and popular! It could take up to an hour or more.
LJ's Lil’ Cafe is a great local spot for breakfast and lunch. Its comfort food is delicious and unique. The menu isn't huge, but it has tasty offerings for any craving. The cafe is attached to the front of Home Depot. There are a few bench tables to enjoy your meals, but many prefer to grab and go. My recent favorites included the OG Burrito, LJ's Sammy, Cheeseburger, and tater tots. The breakfast burritos are huge and have crispy tots instead of hashbrowns or plain potatoes, which add a nice texture to each bite. The burgers and dogs are also well-made. The hot dogs can get messy as the buns will break apart from all the ingredients, but still delicious. The housemade sauces add an excellent addition to any of the meals for an extra cost. Service has always been friendly. Ordering online on their website is highly recommended if you're in a rush or don't like lines. Walk-ups, if you're lucky, will get your food within 10-20min. The food is worth the wait, though. I've seen some long lines at peak lunchtime. It's that good! This family-owned business is usually open at their posted times, but they've been closed occasionally due to personal reasons. It happens, and I'm still happy to support locals. They are open Mon-Fri & Sundays.
I’ve seen LJ’s being widely recommended while on the search for the best breakfast burrito in OC. Now after having it, I can say it even exceeded those expectations. The Spicy OG was delicious, with the right amount of kick (definitely recommend it with the green salsa!) But what was most notable was the tater tots that were perfectly crispy throughout the entire burrito. 11/10, will definitely be telling friends about this place and coming back!
My husband brought me from Pasadena to try "the best breakfast burrito I've ever had." It truly was delicious. 😋 The potatoes were crispy and the veggies were cooked fresh. Well worth the trip!
