Way way way too loud. Can't hear anything unless I yell. Everyone especially kids are screaming to be heard. Have yet to taste the food. That is why I gave a 3 star. It's so loud it hurts! I know for sure I will never enjoy a beer here. Music makes my head hurt too. Can't make out the songs it's so loud!!! Now I have had the pizza. I read it was the same as Barro's, which is amazing... It was good, just not Barro's good. But still decent enough to get take home pizza on a Friday night. Just not eat there for the noise level. Service was average because we were told 10 minutes for the pizza, was 23 minutes. Our salad was sitting on the counter for most of that time😕. Didn't bother to check but our pizza was on top of the oven when she finally brought it out even though they could of taken it out immediately after they boxed it. There were 2 orders that came in after is and no walk-ins for pickup while we were there. 🤔
Finally a place in Lake Forest that feels like family. The happy hour is a good deal but the friendly welcoming staff make it even better. Great food and comfy seating on both the bar side and the restaurant side. The number of TVs is fabulous and I've had great food every time: sandwiches, salad, pizza all amazing. Staff actually cares about allergens and has gone out of their way to be sure I don't die from eggs. I've try to visit all the family owned places in LF.... . this one finally hits the "family vibe even at happy hour" spot.
In the past this place unfortunately drew me and a LOT of my family and friends away due to a rude borderline hateful ownership and obscenely high prices. Under new ownership and a renovation, I decided to give it another try and I am glad I did. New staff is friendly and quick, the building looks fantastic and clean, and most importantly the pizza is delicious. I think they are aware of the former reputation and are eager to show things have changed. I can see myself becoming a regular again. Welcome back Lamppost!
Super disappointed. Did a takeout order and the jalapeño poppers from what the website shows to what you actually get are 2 different things. I put pictures of what online shows and what I actually got. Pizza was super greasy, and didn’t have good flavor. I would have been better off at dominos.
Ignore the reviews from the likes of Alexander and others who clearly pride themselves on being a local tour guide of “excellence” in Lake Forest 😂 don’t believe those who take themselves to seriously because nobody here has time for it. We have been waiting for a good brewery to open in the neighborhood and this place hits the mark and more. Great food, great beer, friendly staff, and a great time. Will undoubtedly become the new football Sunday spot with plenty of TVs and great vibes. Bravo to the team for a great opening and can’t wait to Come back to this new staple of LF!
