The smog check team is highly professional, fast and efficient! Although I have not been required to have a smog check in ages, I got it done with zero delays or any surprises. Polite and friendly staff!
Great place with friendly staff. They are honest and have told me multiple times my car didn't need repairs I was expecting, or a cheaper options are available. Super easy drop off and pickup with the 24 hr gas station attached. You can come literally anytime to drop or pick up your car.
Very rude service, absolutely condescending jerks, both in person and on the phone. Also, to the guy taking phone calls -- it's your JOB to deal with people on the phone, don't act like you're king of the universe because a layman has to ask you questions. JERKS! Avoid!!
I have put on 2 reviews in my 30 plus years in Laguna Niguel and I find this worthy of one . I am a senior driving a 2010 Lexus sedan . My battery light comes on and I drop by Chevron and speak to Alan Hood service manager He’s worked on my car for simple things without any incidence maybe 3x . He uses a diagnostic computer and says see the screen you need a new battery . I say how much he says $6000 plus labor and I said not worth it and he solicits me and says I will offer you $2000 for the car right now . So I guess and this is just a guess, but in his mind, he put a value on my car. I said no and left . I didn’t know there’s an aftermarket for batteries of hybrids. I got one with a lifetime warranty for $2500 . I call Alan and tell him and he says we can’t sell you that because we can’t warranty it. So I guess he would just get one and buy my car for $2000 and sell it for $12-$14,000 . In my disgust with this reprehensible behavior to churn me out of my car so he can capitalize I get in touch with Mike maybe the owner he wouldn’t say when I asked but says I have worked with Alan for 30 years so I guess that excuses him because He never apologized for the mistreatment . Be very leery if you take your car to that station for anything. I know I won’t ever again
Have used the mechanic shop here several times. They use absolutely the cheapest low quality parts possible for repairs but charge near-dealer prices so beware.
