Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
The service of Kei Concepts' restaurants is always top-notch so there is no complain about that, and of course, long waiting line too. The food is good but I think there were too much MSG that made me really thirsty after eating here. The Truffle Salmon Crudo was good since I like the sauce. I would recommend order the Seafood Tom Kha Ramen over the Chashu Tom Kha Ramen because the soup taste so much better for the seafood one. I wouldn't recommend Stir-fried Spicy Intestine Udon because it was oily and just doesn't taste good in my opinion, perhaps I was too full after eating all other dishes as the Udon came in last. Overall, was a good experience.
A delicious lunch spot. Ramen broth was cooked to perfection. Protein was sliced very thinly, and noodles were lack luster. The noodles were a bit chewy like Chinese noodles.
While doing errands in Garden Grove, wifey looked up Ramen 🍜 restaurants around the area and found Kin Craft Ramen & Izakaya to be interesting. Surprisingly this spot was a very good choice. We ordered 2 bowls of the signature Tonkatau Ramen with their pork belly (stated on the menu which was charsui) which had a very unique flavor twist that gave a bit of a smokey bite. The broth was very flavorful in taste, not quite like the spot in Bixby Knolls, Long Beach, however very close. A side of their Karaage which was fried to a delightful crisp and served with a tangy Ponsu mayo mix dipping sauce. The Karaage was delicious by itself so you may enjoy it without any dipping sauce. Wifey ordered their spicy miso ramen which was delicious in flavor and quite spicy that gives a nice kick. Lighthearted ramen enthusiasts need not attempt this one! The restaurant was very clean, organized, very accommodating and friendly service. Cannot recall our servers name however he was young with short black hair and well worth tipping for his excellence in suggesting and serving. I would definitely return here to try more items on their menu. Great job Kin Craft Ramen & Izakaya!
Came to celebrate my cousin's birthday. We came around 5 and we made a reservation. There was plenty of parking and no one in the restaurant. So we can be relaxed. The music was good. Not too loud. Food was good. We came here hungry! We ordered Drinks - Peach black tea (it was ok. Our waitress forgot about it and we had to remind her again) Small plates - Hamachi collar (fried and seasoned well) Raw - Aguachile hamachi (love the seasoning) - Temahi salmon set (good. Basically have to make it your own sushi hand roll. Can be very filling) Rice - Chashu Fried rice (my toddler really loves this) Meat / seafood - Chicken thigh - Pork belly (really good.) - Filet mignon - Scallops - Enochi bacon - Lamb Chops (really good. Took awhile. We asked the waitress and she said it usually takes the longest. So be cautious if you want to order more.) Sauces (Sauces are really good. I wish this was included with the meats because the meats/seafood is expensive as is) Yuzo glaze Yuzo kosho Desserts (both are really good) Black sesame coconut sago Matcha tiramisu My overall experience was good. Wasn't bad but for the cost of it to be about $300 it should have been better. The waitress forgot our tea and had to remind her. She seemed to think that we knew what we were doing and assumed that we knew that the lamb chops took the longest. I'm really upset that we came here with my toddler and no one offered a kids menu/kids coloring book/kids crayons. Instead my son was only eating fried rice. We could have ordered something kid friendly but it was towards the end of our meal when I saw another table getting a kids meal.
One of the most beloved spots from Kei Concepts just launched their BRAND NEW summer items, and let me tell you guys, it is WORTH THE HYPE! Their take on beef curry rice is SO good. And trust me, you're gonna want to check out their great variety of ramen, yakitori skewers, and delicious cocktails. Skip the chicken karaage though, that was a no go. I believe there were bits of fried chicken skin included? We ordered chicken karaage (fried chicken bites), not oily chicken skin. They even have locations in Fountain Valley and Irvine. Thanks for reading! ^-^
