Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
“The service and ambiance were excellent. It’s a charming, snug spot close to the waterfront, impeccably clean, and inviting. While the food was decent, it didn’t quite reach greatness. Some dishes could have used more flavor, but overall, it’s a solid choice for a satisfying dinner.”
First visit, glad we stopped by. It’s my new favorite Dana Point restaurant. No reservation, but we were quickly seated in the patio area (it was a little chilly, but the heaters were started for us). Our server was Jackie, very impressed with her friendliness and pleasant service. I had the Jimmy Burger, good combo of burger, bacon and pimento cheese. Glad I had the jalapeño jam on the side, it was a little too spicy. Generous serving of crispy fries. We also ordered the jalapeño scalloped potatoes, really tasty. We’ll be back, recommended.
Food was on the OK side. Wasn’t in my top 10. I had the French dip which was fatty and full of sinew. Almost like it was pulled off the bone, which left the white sinew sheath. I think that has to do with the prime cut they were using. Atmosphere is awesome and the service is top-notch. Looks like a great place to bring your friends and have a couple of drinks while enjoying the view. Right across from the marina although there is a road in between you and the marina.
We went on a Monday afternoon to checkout happy hour at Jimmy’s. The restaurant was mostly empty and there was no one to great or seat us when we walked in. We had to hunt someone down to attend to us. The location is great and the inside decor is nice. We tried the calamari which was just ok, nothing special. The drinks were also unremarkable but looked nice. They didn’t have a unique flavor. The star of the evening was the cheeseburger which was delicious. If we go again we would order one burger and split it because is was a substantial meal. The service once we were seated was very was good.
Great service and atmosphere. Beautiful view of the Harbor. Best deviled eggs I've ever had, bar none. Impressive chicken sandwich. Fantastic clam chowder served with house-made chips. Definitely put the chips into the soup!
