Dr. Howard is very kind and makes me feel heard. Thanks to her explanations, I feel I understand my eye health better. I never feel dismissed when I ask a question. The only downside is that sometimes there are long waits, but there are only 2 waiting chairs.
So Costco's optometry service also has lost its value edge, like many other things at Costco. I have been going to Costco offered optometry for years for good value, and the doctors I worked with over the years have been awesome. This new iteration, ' Howard Optometry' has been a sore disappointment in the recent encounter. The front office is bustling with staff, but they are a pain to work with. The staff are argumentative and stubborn. There is no clearly managed experience working with the doctor. They seem to be many in the line-up but lot less available to patients. They are mere employees doing a job. They only give you five pairs of trial lenses after you see the doctor, citing myriad of excuses from manufacturer to customer must do this and that. The last doctor (Dr. Bozner) I had at Costco patiently worked with me for two months to finalize the prescription and with a lot of high touch interaction. So this place is a highly commercialized revolving door and unpleasant. Proceed at our own risk.

The staff was excellent. They were very patient and answered all my questions thoroughly and kindly. Very helpful! Glad for the change of management from the previous owner. Dr. Tran was excellent, answered all my questions in a very timely manner. Karla was very patient in particular! Very impressed with her.
