I definitely loved the dishes I think the seabass was good, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The shrimp alfredo was pretty straightforward and the risotto was tasty. The service wasn’t as great, we arrived 10 mins early for an outdoor seating. We had to wait while other guests without reservations were being seated and only to come up to them again and ask if a table was ready. They sat us on the empty table outside that was empty since we got there.

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at Hook and Anchor. From the moment we were seated, Renny took amazing care of us. He was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed the entire time. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We loved every dish we tried. You can really tell this place takes pride in both their food and their hospitality. Hook and Anchor made our night special, and Renny truly went above and beyond. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for great seafood and even better service.

A wonderful birthday dinner! The 2 dozen oysters were incredibly fresh, and the staff went above and more to make us feel special, including a complimentary birthday dessert.. Our server was professional and accommodating!!😊😊

Fabulous. Amazing. Hard to pick just one word that describes the service, the staff, and the food. My wife and I absolutely love this place. The staff is attentive, accommodating, and a pleasure to interact with. Whether it’s Kat or Joe or Hunter at the bar it will always be great. Sometimes even Corrine is back behind the bar. Also great. And she is a spectacular server. With so many places to go in Dana Point, it is very competitive. We have NEVER been disappointed. I am glad that they just celebrated their 1 year anniversary. Can’t wait to celebrate #2 and then #5. You will often see Hayden (GM), Phil (Mgr), Jon (Co-Owner) and/or Chef Wayne (Co-Owner) and whether they are there or not this restaurant runs so well. Thanks Hook & Anchor. See you soon!

I was pleasantly surprised by this spot!! The food was really good and the atmosphere was really relaxed. The clam chowder was the best, The seafood risotto was second to none!! It is a little upscale so you get what you pay for!! I do believe it was worth the money!!
