We always visit this shop when we drive down to Dana Point. They have an amazing selection of top-end gear. They also have a pretty decent consignment corner that always amazes me with the quality and selection of used gear. A bit on the pricier side (in our opinion) but they also have many products that I can't find or don't see much in our own area of Redondo Beach. Props to this little shop.

It was my first time going to that shop, and I was super impressed, both short Josh and Manager josh welcomed me in and asked if I needed any help. they have a variety of fishing items and it’s neatly organized. They have a unlimited selection of swim baits, Reels, rods, clothing, irons, fishing line, just about everything you can think of, they have it. If you are anywhere near Dana point, it’s definitely worth stopping in.

Our first time to visit this shop and get some ideas on a planned fishing day in Dana Point, CA. Quite a few staff working, milling around, as you walk in, greeting customers. The store was amazingly stocked with everything & anything you want & need for a great fishing day. We needed some live bait and was offered some "lugworms" which was kept in a refrigerator. We browsed around some more to check out fishing gears & accessories. The crew were very helpful, knowledgeable & courteous. We will definitely come back to this location on our next fishing adventure in Dana Point, CA.

Hogan’s is a treasure of knowledge and enthusiastic customer service. As courteous and helpful a staff as you will ever encounter in any retail setting.. Great selection, fair pricing. and wonderful people. A worthy alternative to the interweb.
