Green Cheek Beer Co was founded in 2017 by two pals who love beer and the community it creates. We’re a small company of parakeets that take our time making a variety of beer styles throughout the year, but are best known for our hoppy beers, crispy lagers, big stouts, and hard seltzers.
We are always looking for ways to make improvements on our beer program through thoughtful, tiny, and consistent changes and we think you’ll notice our dedication to our craft with every sniff, sip, gulp and burp! We’re not trying to take over the beer world, as there are a lot of great breweries out there, but to remain authentic to ourselves and make the best damn beer you’ve ever had.
Beers are tasty and extra cold, smash burger is excellent and the cheese dip is a must try. Vibes or always cool here. Lavender lemonade is refreshing.
First time at this gem of a brewery right in the middle of Costa Mesa at the boarder with Newport and Irvine. It’s a nice brewery with expansive beer garden outside. Your order your foods and beers at the counter and you get a pager. I tried their smash burger, chicken club and fried chicken sandwich. Smash burger is fairly small and i finished it in two bites. The chicken bribers are larger. I recommend the fried chicken burger over the club as it was very tasty. You can get fries or salad with you sandwich or upgrade to tots. Expansive menu of beers, hard seltzer and a few wine options. A pitcher of beer is $25. Sandwiches are $14-16. It was super packed on Saturday night at 7 with the line to order out the door, but it moves fairly fast. Highly recommended and will visit again.
Their beer is solid across the board, especially if you like IPAs. Staff were friendly and service was fast. Prices were fair for the area. They have a decent selection of to-go beers. The food looked tasty, so next time definitely going for a burger & tots. Overall if you’re looking for a tasty beer paired with delicious food then come here.
February 2026: Flew into SNA airport on a Friday night. Stopped by about an hour before closing and the place was packed. Nice to see this brewery doing well. Sampled some great IPAs. November 2024: Was spending a night in Costa Mesa and found this highly rated brewery. Stopped by for dinner and enjoyed a flight of IPAs. Ruffle N Feathers was a great hazy IPA. Member was an excellent 👍 West Coast style IPA. I was very impressed with all four of the 🍻 that I tried. For dinner, tried the Mediterranean salad, classic double smash burger and tater tots. Everything was super delicious 😋. Great place to hang out. Great beer 🍺. I need to come back to Costa Mesa again in the near future!
A bit off the beaten path but worth the visit. Large selection of draft beer and seltzer. Nice mix of beer varieties as well. Didn’t try food on this visit but was certainly intrigued by their offerings. Nice seating inside at high top tables but also an outside seating area. Definitely more industrial feel.
