Had lunch at Gourmet Pie and completely understand why this place has been around for so long.
I love that they serve breakfast all day because sometimes scrambled eggs and country potatoes just sound better than anything else on the menu. And they do breakfast really well here. The scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy, the bacon was crisp, and the country potatoes tasted homemade and comforting.
And of course, the pie was the highlight. Their apple pie was very good, buttery, comforting, and not overly sweet. Definitely the kind of dessert that makes you want coffee even if you weren’t originally planning on ordering any.
The atmosphere feels classic and comfortable, old-school diner energy in the best way. Spacious booths, relaxed vibe, friendly service, and a bakery case that immediately tests your self-control.
What I liked most is that the place feels genuine. Not trendy, not trying too hard, just solid comfort food and desserts that clearly have a loyal following for a reason.
Definitely recommended if you want a real neighborhood diner and bakery experience.

I am so, so disappointed. I have been getting the Grilled Turkey melt for 30 years, about once a month which I always look forward to. This time I was shocked at the quality of the turkey (some end cuts, skin were thrown on it - see photo), not to mention it was pretty apparent that the bread itself was toasted, not grilled. The sandwich and the fries were cold. I did DoorDash the order, but it arrived earlier than expected. I really don't think we can blame the dasher for this temperature of this food given the quality of the rest of it. The turkey itself was completely cold and cheese barely melted. I paid $30 for this that I ended up throwing in the trash.

OMG where do I start? First off my mother got French toast it was the thickest French toast there's a picture of it it was a bread super thick super delicious fresh crispy on the outside warm on the inside with perfectly crispy bacon and eggs perfect medium over medium not white running! This picture is a picture of my mother she just turned 80 yesterday can you believe it! So I got the patty melt he asked me how would you like to cook that's a rarity these days got to cook medium rare! Extra onions yummy but look at these onion rings homemade super thick inside like I'm guessing two or three slices of onion inside oh they're so good homemade dressing and just to die for! And you got the service okay so the guy that's taking care of me named Johnny you got to see Johnny don't ask for anybody else! Great smile great attitude filled up our waters asked us if we need anything. Great food, great service and service with a smile!! I'll be back. My moms here all the time.

The chicken pot pie was amazing. It's huge and tasty. The kids liked what they ordered. My wife loved her chicken deno light. The dessert were good as well. So far every time we come here they have great customer service.
Second time here. Great costumer service. Food was amazing. We where so hungry. That's why my pictures had some of our portions eaten when I took them. Waiter was very patient with us our order. It took some time to order what we wanted because there is alot of choices. Next time we come I'll order the chicken pot pie. Also the breakfast burrito I think it's a deluxe was very good when my first visit.

My first visit to Gourmet Pie & Café was following a Dear Friend's recommendation. After 10 AM, we chose the sports bar side (to the left) which was quiet & comfortable. We split their hearty "Country Fied Steak and Eggs" Breakfast. It was a delicious choice, more than enough for two. Stand outs were their in house preserves (Strawberry, Boysenberry, or Peach), their spicy salsa that was more flavorful than heated, and a nice surprise! Our coffees were always kept filled which, a sign of good service, and we left satisfied and happy. Neither of us had room for pie which we shall come back for another time!
