Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
There's no other way to put this, Gibroni's is a top if not thee top pizza in OC. I have read so many reviews and finally got a chance to try it and it did not disappoint. My friend and I ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was plenty for two people. My friend and I absolutely devoured the pizza it was so delicious. The crisp yet fluffy crust was definitely the highlight, but I also thought their pizza sauce was on point. It was light, bright, good tomato flavor which balanced the richness of the rest of the pizza nicely. The service was friendly and there was plenty of seating to hang out and chill. Highly recommend this spot, would definitely travel 30+ minutes for this pizza!
This place has been 🔥 since day one! From the moment they opened at JD’s, this spot was off the charts—and it’s only gotten better in their new location. The Detroit-style pizzas are absolutely delicious, and the rotating monthly specials keep things exciting. Don’t miss the Caesar salad—it’s the best in town. The pastas are amazing, the wings are kick-ass, and the full bar has a solid selection of craft beers. Bonus: come on Wednesdays for the buzzed spelling bee—it’s a blast and definitely not to be missed!
Can't speak to the taste of the pizza- no vegan options but it looked amazing! Atmosphere was a Michiganders dream- the place itself is a lot bigger than I expected with plenty of indoor seating, bar seats, and a patio. Lots of TVs to catch the games and of course plenty of Vernors and Faygo!
Oh man!!! Found this hidden gem while passing through the city. We don’t really go to San Clemente but this spot popped on my suggestions and had to try it for myself. I never had Detroit style pizza and fell in love after taking the first bite. I ordered the FUN GUY PIZZA for $22. It was plenty enough for two. Pizza comes in 4 slices and the crust is crunchy! 😛 The flavor was absolutely amazing and now I have to make another 2 hour drive for this spot. The service I don't really care for. They don’t go above and beyond. You walk in and take your order at the booth then you have to go to the bar to get your drinks. There are plenty of free parking spaces near the restaurant.
Detroit-style done right. This place is an absolute gem. Gibroni’s delivers big flavor, bold personality, and the kind of comfort food you crave when you want something indulgent and unforgettable. Let’s start with the pizza. That crust? Unreal. Crispy on the edges, pillowy in the center, and packed with the kind of flavor that only comes from care and craft. Ours was topped with bright tomato sauce, melted cheese, and a gorgeous streak of pesto that added just the right hit of herby richness. Easily one of the best Detroit-style pizzas I’ve had in California. And the fried cauliflower? Golden, crunchy perfection. Not greasy, just light and addictive—especially when dunked into one of their house-made sauces. It’s the kind of appetizer you keep reaching for, even when you swore you were full. Bonus points for stocking Vernors—a true Michigan classic and the perfect crisp, gingery counterpoint to the rich food. The space is full of character, with Detroit sports memorabilia, throwback vibes, and just enough edge to make it feel cool without trying too hard. You can tell this spot was built with heart and pride. Whether you’re from the Midwest or just a fan of damn good pizza, Gibroni’s is the real deal. 10/10, would absolutely come
