The best pizza in the entire state. This is the only place outside of Naples where I’ve found pizza that truly tastes like the real thing. The flavors, the texture, the dough—everything is exactly as it should be. They even use authentic mozzarella imported directly from Caserta, the city famous for producing the finest mozzarella, along with top-quality flour and outstanding tomatoes. Their salads feature unique and delicious combinations, and their antipasti are everything you would expect from authentic Italian cuisine. You can even find the famous Pizza e Friarielli, made with the traditional Neapolitan greens that are a true specialty of Naples and almost impossible to find elsewhere. The moment you walk in, you feel at home. The owners are wonderful people who have built a beautiful family business, and every member of the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is simply amazing. I honestly don’t know a single person I’ve recommended Il Fuoco to who didn’t love it. Quite the opposite—they always come back and become regular customers. Thank you for bringing such a beautiful piece of Naples to the United States. It means more than you know.

Do not miss the appetizer! WOW the cheese is delicious. Portion sizes are generous and the particular flour that’s used is noticeably different. Service is kind and immediate. With TVs lining all across the room in addition to bar seating, you experience a wonderful laid back vibe. We came thanks to a family recommendation. The pizzas are so good! The napoleon icecream in the chocolate shell was a delightful treat.

I visited the two places that people in Orange County call the best pizza spots — Tulys Pizza in Dana Point and Fuoco Pizza. My first impression of Fuoco was that it felt like an American restaurant trying to imitate the vibe of Naples, Italy, like a movie set from an 80s film. The pizza oven, flour sacks, and cute Neapolitan decorations didn’t really blend together well. The staff, who looked exhausted from work, couldn’t keep up that warm restaurant good-vibe and kind of killed it. The whole place felt quite dark. But, I will definitely go back. Their pizza was truly outstanding, and it had the best pizza dough I’ve ever had in my life. However, when you look at the full picture, Tulys Pizza is still number one.

We heard about this highly rated Italian restaurant in Fullerton and had to eat there. We had pizza that was wood-fired in an oven that was out of this world! We had a salad and desert. We liked so much we went back later that night for dinner. I will definitely go back to Fuoco Pizzeria Napoletana!

A must try if you like Napoletana style pie. The location is in a bustling party of Fullerton, with a lot of things to do. I went on a weekday night, so the wait time was immediate. I have been when there has been a long wait, and you can always grab a drink nearby while you wait. The location is a proud supporter of Napoli FC, and while I root for another Club, its wonderful to see the influence the club has on the location. The atmosphere is vibrant, with patrons enjoying their food and chatting away. The food itself is wonderful. The crust was perfectly burnt to my liking, and the toppings on top were savory without a lot of cheese/sauce. My partner obtained a vegetarian style, and while the cheese was a little much, she forked and knifed the pizza to her satisfactory taste. They procure a wonderful seasonal menu as well. Will visit again!
