Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
Front desk lady was nice and helpful. Dentist couldn’t care less about my visit. My visit was for X-rays, exam and cleaning. The X-ray tech was unkind. The dentist did a quick exam told me I need a crown and then asked if I still wanted a cleaning. I said yes and she literally was done in under a minute and was looking behind her talking to someone for a bit. The hygienist did the polishing and was nice and thorough. Needless to say that dentist is not doing my crown. Even if you don’t care or you’re having a bad day, you need to treat the patient like they matter. If you can’t do it, get a different job.
The tall man who is a manager is SO kind. What a sweetheart. Tiffany as well. Vibes are great. The cleaning itself and the doctor…. honestly the work a little rough as in harsh BUT I leave feeling so fresh and so clean. Very quick. Thank you team!
Negative stars should be available for this business!!! Be ready to be up-sold when you visit. Be ready to be visited by a dentist who appears to not care about her patients. A male office assistant was annoyingly trying to sell us on the laughing gas for our sons filling procedure. Mind you, they numb the area. I said no multiple times, signed the waiver for no gas, and he still pressured using the gas right up until the procedure began. Saying we want him to have a happy and enjoyable experience. What I heard is that you want to introduce my son to drugs and a euphoric experience. It is completely unprofessional and unethical, in my opinion. The dentist herself spent barely five minutes with us, not even taking the time to ask how we were doing. Horrible 'bed side manner' in my patient opinion. We will never return to Smiles West, and I will warn all I can about this practice!!! *side note* BTY...we loved the previous owner! She sold her practice and moved to Idaho. She made you feel like a friend or family when you visited.
Angel (the new receptionist) was extremely rude every visit. The new staff just doesn’t know how to handle children. We’ve been using this dentist for years with all 3 kids and this last year has been a real let down. The old staff worked so well with our young ones. Finding a new dentist.
They want to only polish my teeth, not do any scaling/cleaning, then bill my insurance for a full cleaning….they hold you hostage if you do not immediately agree to their excessive treatment plan. They say dentist will be right back to do the cleaning, but If you do not agree to their upcharges, they will leave you lying back in the chair waiting for your cleaning procedure as a punishment… Sort of like “waterboarding” Dentist will only come back to do the cleaning if you demand the service while seated upside down .
