This is the first time I used this optometrist... And of course I was apprehensive. The glasses I received weren't exactly what I wanted, however they were insistent return them and let them give me what I initially hoped for. These now are the best glasses I've ever had. My favorite glasses were ones that were done several years ago but we're not correct optically although the gradient tint perfect. These new glasses from Eye World are now my favorite. These are the people from now on that I will go to when ordering my glasses.
Had to basically force them to give me the proper eye test that I needed to be given due to an eye issue. I told her whats wrong and she told me nothings wrong. Tf!? Then after all that, it was the wrong prescription according to my second opinion the following day. Not just slightly, it was way off. Went back and canceled the glasses she asked me to order and she didn't even come out to apologize or ask what happened. Just poor service and outdated gear. It's all analog and not up to date at all unfortunately. I wouldn't go back here. I just saw a standing out front for an appointment and the door is locked. That reminded me that I needed to do a review on this place. Don't go here. You won't be impressed.
I went in to this location to do my annual exam and the consultation was fine. I was recommended to do the contacts rather than glasses. The Dr was kind enough to let me bring the contacts home and test them out. Unfortunately, they didn't work out. so when I returned to my appt a week later I was advised that my eyes would be dilated. I came prepared sunglasses and all, and when I told the Dr I just want to get the glasses and get prescription, Dr just send me out on my way. she didn't dilate my pupils didn't want to check them bc I would not buy frames from her location. This is the first time a Dr would not check my eyes or refuse service bc I would not purchase from them. It's rather unprofessional and not to mention the rude attitude her staff gave me. I have decided to not ever come back or recommended them to anyone.
Their testing equipment are made for tiny people, not tall guys like me. The testing staff here make testing as infuriating as possible, including the optometrist (Dr. Lee I think was her name). The frames here are 225% higher than at LensCrafters with all of their bells and whistles going for $50 more than at LensCrafters. If you're on Cal-Optima (insurance) get your eye exam where the insurance pays for it, then take your business over to LensCrafters where you can get the rest at more than half off what they'll charge you here.
Overall I did not have a positive experience with Eye World. The optometrist were fine but the office staff made a mistake that cost me to waste my time when I was told my glasses were ready for pick-up when In fact they were not. There was no resolution to their mistake other than having to make another trip when they were actually ready. It's time to look for a new optometrist. Sorry Eye World!
