We were looking for a Mexican restaurant for my birthday. We found El Jefe Cafe, and I'm so glad we did. It's one of those mom & pop places that has great service & atmosphere. We were greeted the moment we walked in, the staff was extremely kind & respectful. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend their lemon margaritas, too. We will definitely be back.
Classic Mexican café, very fair prices, quality food and they do serve delicious fish & chips. Family owned & operated with pride, a bit off the beaten path, seek it out. Enjoy a real long term local San Clemente place.
just a quick stop feeling hungry..and surprised by delicious Beef and Lengua Tacos...with added cheese!!...the tacos were of good Size with 8 inch tortillas..
I order a breakfast burrito and was only matched potatoes in the burrito and the owner got super angry because I made a comment about the excess of potatoes in my burrito I’m Mexican and this restaurant is not a Mexican restaurant terrible food very bad experience
