Crystal our server was very friendly and recommended some dishes that were delicious! Best Corned beef ever ♥️♥️while my son’s country breakfast was also freshly made and delicious!😋
Avoid. Lovely and welcoming staff but: - long waiting time for drinks, food or even the bill - around 30min… - mixed up order but can happen to everyone, - medium steak was over done and dried out and tasteless without any seasoning, - Benedict eggs were hard boiled, - rubber pancakes, Whoever is working at the kitchen today should definitely consider exploring different career paths. Wasted a lot of time.
First time here and wanted to check out breakfast. Cool little spot with plenty of parking. Ordered corned beef hash (not canned), homemade biscuit and hash browns. Hash was cooked perfectly, pictures don’t lie. Service was friendly and attentive. Found my go-to breakfast spot in Costa Mesa/Newport area.
Love the atmosphere here. The food is classic but lacks a little. Their sausages are thick, huge, but just salty in flavor. The chicken fried steak was just OK. They could use a some filtration for their water as there was a distinct chlorine odor in their complimentary water and it was obvious from the leaking hot water tower that they didn't have any water treatment. Overall, the pricing is decent, decor is a bit nostalgic and places like these are hard to find. Just hope they can step the food up a bit but it's been working for them this long so no reason to change.
Great food with superior interior design and decorations reminding us the artistic era from the 70s. It is a perfect place for family gatherings, hanging out with friends, special celebrations or corporate events. It is also a must-visit landmark for tourists who come to the city or a perfect spot for a movie set from the era. DC offers a welcoming atmosphere with lots of open space, inside and out. It gives their new patrons a whole new experience dining here or keep the veteran diners returning for decades to come.
