Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
I stumbled upon this delightful Italian restaurant while visiting the area, and I’m so glad I did! It can be a challenge to find a truly great Italian spot in the Valley or I.E., but this place exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding. The maître d, manager, head waiter (all in one)—was attentive and engaging, checking in on us throughout our meal. It felt more like a warm, family-run establishment than a typical restaurant, with staff and regular patrons sharing hugs and laughter. The complimentary salsa served with the bread was an interesting twist—I appreciated the cucumber base, but being a traditionalist, I usually prefer simply good olive oil and balsamic vinegar. At first, I thought it was pesto, but it had a unique flavor that prompted us to inquire about its ingredients. While the food was delicious, I did feel that the portions could have been a bit larger for the price, and the salsa accompaniment with the calamari didn’t quite hit the mark for me. However, the true star of the meal was the sauce—it was absolutely fantastic, with no complaints whatsoever. Overall, I had a lovely experience with great service, a warm ambiance, and delicious food. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you’re in town!
We have been coming regularly to Delizie since we moved to South OC in 2007. Our recent visit a couple of days ago did not disappoint. The food, atmosphere and service was as amazing as it had been since 1.5 decades ago
This neighborhood Italian restaurant offers very good food, though it leans more toward safe, classic flavors rather than anything extraordinary. We started with the crispy calamari as an appetizer, and it was excellent—perfectly cooked and seasoned, paired with a couple of nice sauces. My wife had the veal ravioli, which was absolutely extraordinary and easily the highlight of the meal. Felt freshly made. I opted for the linguine vongole, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. It was just average, lacking the garlic and briny flavors that make this dish special and simple. We ended the meal with a tiramisu, which was delicious and a great way to wrap things up. On top of that, the service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and quick, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a solid choice for a good Italian meal. While not everything wowed us, I’d definitely return, especially for that ravioli, dessert, and the excellent service!
The restaurant is perfect. The food is so delicious. The service, the menu, and the place is beautiful. For muy Birthday, the chef give to me a free dessert I loved it. Definitely I recommend this place
The food we had was very good. I had Occo Buco special and it came with risotto. Very good flavor and generous portion. The other three in the group had various pastas and they were all very good. Asked for the side of asparagus and it was charred nicely. A star was lost on service because I asked for olive oil for the bread but never got it. At an Italian restaurant it should always be on the table or they should ask when you are seated. Lower stars for atmosphere is not a bad thing, I prefer my money on the plate vs the wall.
