This place has such delicious fresh fish. Everything I’ve had there has been to die for. The Chef’s Sashimi platter is so yummy and has the most epic presentation. All the rolls are delicious, every time I come I have to try a new one and they are all awesome. The owners have been there both times I went and they are so friendly and attentive. The servers are sweet, helpful, and on top of it. This is definitely our new weekly sushi spot!!
Just had an absolutely phenomenal meal at Dark Magic Sushi in Old Town San Clemente (right next to Inca Mamas). It's truly great to have a new sushi spot like this in town. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive making the experience just perfect. The vibe inside is also super cool. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the sushi bar is fantastic, seating about 6-7 people. I loved that there were no glass display cases of fish, which created a really relaxed and engaging atmosphere with the chefs. The fish was unbelievably fresh (literally melts in your mouth!) and they really let the quality of the seafood shine, keeping it fish-forward and not drowned in heavy sauces. If you're in San Clemente and looking for top-notch, authentic sushi in a great setting, do yourself a favor and check out Dark Magic Sushi... You won't regret it!
Dark magic sushi is 5 stars all around! We had chutoro, hamachi, and red snapper sashimi and they were each delicious and came with their own light sauce that really complimented them. Their miso soup was so delicious. They also have our favorite sake. Our server was super friendly and attentive. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a nice ambiance. Highly recommend!
BEST SUSHI I’VE EVER HAD! My husband and I randomly stumbled upon this place for a date night, and all I can say is WOW. From start to finish, everything was incredible. The sushi was unbelievably fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious—it truly hit all the senses. The staff was so welcoming from the moment we walked in. They took the time to chat with us, share their favorites, and make great recommendations, which made the experience feel extra special. We even had the chance to meet the owner, Levi, who was incredibly friendly and clearly so talented. The atmosphere is amazing—tucked away in Old Town San Clemente, it really feels like a hidden gem. We can’t wait to bring our friends and family back and will be telling everyone about this place. Highly, highly recommend!
My favorite place! The sushi is consistently fresh and always enjoyable. I’ve never been disappointed. The chef is exceptional!
