Donāt get me wrong mostly their reviews are negative about finances and billing and insurance but we have to realize that insurance makes you think they cover everything but they donāt unfortunately. And if you really want the best for your self than yes we have to pay to get the best Quality work done, just like you would for your car or your house. Anyways I was able to get my stuff taken care of today and I just have to say to their assistant Mariana, thank you for sharing some stories with me, you made my visit more comfortable and enjoyable, believe it or not I am very much terrified of being in the dental office. Dr. Shalaby, thank you for exampling and educating me on what needs to be taken care of. In my experience most dentist just tell you what the treatment will be and get moving on it but some donāt take the time to educate or explain and that really showed me how your care for your patients. I recommend this place because if your looking for a cleaner mouth and a welcoming staff and a Dr who is very Conservative and very detailed in his work and that actually care for his patients than this is the place for you. I am so grateful to have found this Dentists office. It has changed the way that I feel about having dental work performed in every way. The staff are very professional and friendly and personal, and Dr. Salary is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. From the office setting, the interaction with the staff, and the great bedside manor and professional demeanor of Dr Shalaby, I am never going anywhere else. This is easily the very best dental experience I have had, and it has been the case consistently will all of my visits.
Dr. Shalaby recommended and proceeded with a crown, assuring me it was necessary. However, after several appeals, my insurer consistently denied coverage, stating that a filling would have resolved the issue and that a crown was not required. The treatment was carried out before any approval was obtained from the insurer, which meant I was not given the opportunity to make an informed decision or to discuss alternative, more appropriate solutions. Instead, the work was completed prematurely, and I was left with a significant bill for a procedure that could not be validated by insurance and, according to their repeated determinations, was unnecessary.
My first time this morning at Dana Point Smiles. The staff was exceptional and made me feel very comfortable and accommodating. They has state of the art technology which gave me a granular understanding of my dental health. Exceptional experience. Donāt go elsewhere!
